As others have noted, service is slow. But the food was delicious - the vegan salad nicoise with baked tofu was especially good. Pescatarian with many clearly marked vegan options available.
A group of us split several dishes, and everything was very good, especially the Moroccan stew, veganized. Many of the dishes can be made vegan and I think it's an all-vegetarian place.
Food was amazing. Service was a bit slow but still worth the visit.
Had the macrobowl. Portion size was small, but perfect for a lunch. Great service and atmosphere. Recommend.
If you, like many vegetarians of a certain age, learned to cook from the Moosewood cookbook, you need to stop by if you are in Ithaca. The staff was pleasant, the restaurant homey, the food was decent but uninspired and something you can get at many mainstream restaurants. There were six entrées on the menu and I think I’ve seen all of them at suburban restaurants in other places. With such an amazing reputation, it would be nice if the special of the day was something that you can’t usually get everywhere else. Salmon salad?
The veggie pot pie was deconstructed, with some veggies and a sauce in a bowl and a crescent of crispy puff pastry on top. The curry dish has some spice to it, and the cauliflower was delicious, but a little scant for the price.
Everything was amazing, I just wish the portions were a little bigger because I didn’t want my meal to end! Can’t wait to come back next time I’m in Ithaca!
We’ve been coming to Moosewood for a longtime here in Ithaca. A few years ago it changed ownership and leveled up in a major way. I think it has the best menu in town now and is probably the best overall restaurant in Ithaca. I grew up in Manhattan so i have a little bit of a jaded mindset when it comes to places up here but the new version of Moosewood executes flawlessly.
The lasagna was one of the best vegetarian lasagnas I've had in a long time
Good overall! I had the Moroccan stew, which was pleasant but not a standout. While not unreasonable, the price and designation on the menu as an entree led me to believe that it differed more than marginally from a soup + grain (in this case, couscous). Were I to go again, it's likely that I would order a soup and half salad with protein. That said, I am a graduate student, so economizing is a must.
Fantastic lunch here. Very accommodating and delicious food.

This memorial day we honor our Patriots! Their polenta cake is an out of the rest of the world experience! It simply describes the architecture of Ithaca to you. Lovely people!
Lovely restaurant with so many vegan options, plus gluten-free options which are all clearly labeled on the menu. Such a nice place for a special occasion! Treat yourself!

The food was delicious! W we had a bottle of Pinot, a bowl of soup, and wonderful sourdough bread.

Really good spot especially if you are vegetarian but even if you are not. We’ve come a few times and it’s always a lovely experience especially if you can sit outside. The staff is all very nice and accommodating. They have a good red wine flight you can order.
