My family was visiting the Finger Lakes for a family vacation and happened to be celebrating three birthdays that week. We ordered three cakes from Rashida Sawyer Bakery and they were all home runs.

I’ve been coming to Rashida Sawyer Bakery for years now. I was ecstatic to see you now have a stand at the Farmer’s Market, and decided to write my long overdue review. Wonderful service, and its so nice that the owner and family often work up front. The cakes are outstanding, especially the pound cake, which is moist and has a slightly crackly golden exterior. Got the red velvet cake and chocolate cheesecake swirl. Cake was too dry but the icing was perfection. Same goes for the cheesecake, crust was perfection but the cheesecake itself lacked a bit of flavor. Taking it down another star for price. $17 for a slice of cake and cheese cake is absurd
