I honestly wasn't expecting much because of the outdated interior... and exterior for that matter. But the food turned out to be really excellent. I had the Demonico steak and would choose it over Texas road house any time.My wife had the Chefs special which was shrimp, scallops, and hadock. She loved it. Old school cool! Saturday prime rib special was fantastic, I highly recommend it! This is a local culinary treasure! Enjoyed the salad bar and service. Milky Way pie and lemon meringue were delicious too.

The restaurant could use some remodeling inside. The server was pleasant and a seasoned server at that. Very attentive. I had the Reuben sandwich on sourdough (they were out of rye) but I honestly found the sandwich to be much more enjoyable with the sourdough. My girlfriend had a chicken sandwiches and she didn't leave a crumb behind. We also had fried green beans which were delicious as well.

Got my copy of Becoming and ready to check in. Wonderful place. Very centrally located. Does not have that air of outside of town, side of the road, never frequented kind of spot. Next I am reading Harry by a Navy admiral called Mike S. ROGERS. But Michelle Obama's memoir is more attractive for my summer this year. The bar at the hotel is great. Rather old crowd though! Love my Cordon Blue chicken

This spot is great for a semi formal to formal dinner but bear in mind that you will also see a lot of families around you. It is a very quiet atmosphere, almost bearing on the solemn side! A break from the messy world affairs! But right in the middle of the town! It doesn't not bring with it the pompousness of historic inns but is is a half a century old inn. It is run in a way that serves your needs without you having to switch mood to be in a landmark sort of place. Food wise you know what to expect. It is not comfort food. Restaurant food without the time consuming aspect of a bustling restaurant. After all, it is a royal court and barristers know how to balance it all! All in all, an excellently satisfying experience! And an inspiration for the new generation that prepares to take on a limitless experience of professional life! What better example serves one's imagination other that that of the lawer! The south side hill just adds to the entire idea and the closeness of the lake just adds a little bit of romanticism into the mixture! Don't hesitate, stop by!
