We tried Bread basket which includes naan, garlic naan, onion kulcha, among them onion kulcha is better, paneer karahi where paneer is less and more onions with weird smell, goat biryani ( serves without raita and sherva) is less salted with average taste, chapati is better but oily, not a better place for foodies. Also observed some small flies flying in restaurant

I work at Cornell and ordered catering from Sangam Indian Cuisine for a symposium. The restaurant was incredibly easy to work with, I ordered online, and they were very helpful in making it sure it got delivered to the correct location in a timely manner. The food was delicious and looked beautiful as well. Our guests were delighted with the food, and it was easy for me to find vegan, vegetarian, and gluten free options to accommodate people.
Waited 45 minutes past my pick up time and no one seemed to care. Two managers doing nothing. No concern, no apology. Never coming back.
Very small portions for the price. Food was ok, and service was poop. Ok, the goat was delicious and so was the saffron rice, but we've had better everything else elsewhere. Not going back. They even complained to patrons bc they had a party of 8. Very odd behaviour for a business who is lucky to have survived COVID.
The owner was aloof . They did not offer a buffet which was fine but the portion sizes were ridiculously small for the price . Then for two full entrees at 19 or so each the small plate of rice was I thought intended for one entree . My college aged son ate it in a manner of bites so we asked for another portion the owner then said that would be an extra charge . I also heard the table behind us ask for the same . Seemed like they were perhaps cutting corners to save on food cost . Rice is the cheapest thing ever . So I was surprised and would not return. Food taste was okay .
Very Disappointing, I ordered Veg Briyani but barely see any veggie, no cashew and paneer. I said medium spicy but its too spicy. It’s terrible. Poor quality, Less quantity and overpriced. Also ordered paneer pakora but its tasteless.

The curry is soooo good. My favorite curry place in Ithaca. If you don't care about the "atmosphere"(it's a small counter in a food court) the food beats everywhere else in town.

Ordered delivery on a Monday night in March so maybe that is an issue. Followed other suggestions their food is hot so ordered mild vs my usual medium and versus baby mild. Nope. If you usually order medium anywhere else, do medium! Ordered favorite Paneer Makani mild and it was a mild, sweet red curry-lots of sauce. Cucumber Raita was literally coconut milk w spices-no cucumber whatsoever. Rice and chutney if that was the cilantro mint sauce was good. Veg app was average. No utensils or napkins even though ordered. Food was fine but I wouldn't go five stars over it.
I typically go to diamonds in downtown Ithaca for Indian food but decided to go to Sangam's in college town yesterday since the students are on break. Tried goat for the first time. The sauce was delicious but the meat was terrible. Huge chunks of fat with almost no meat at all. The portion was skimpy considering it was $19 for the entree. On top of that our water was served in plastic cups and we were given thick paper plates to eat on with plastic utensils. Not a great experience at all around. Will stick with diamonds for Indian food going forward.
Great Indian food. Lots of vegetarian options. Food can be made spicy to your liking. Great service as well in the restaurant. The restaurant also has a nice ambience.
I’ve eaten far too many scrumptious lunches and dinners to count at Sangam’s Indian restaurant in Ithaca over the course of more than twenty years. Indeed, I just ate there two nights ago. . . Some thing’s never change. Like excellence. The food that comes out of Sangam’s kitchen is *always* perfect in my experience as a dedicated foodie. I have *never* had anything here but the most delicious and memorable meals, expertly spiced to order. As for “authenticity,” several years ago I was blessed to spend four months travelling across much of the northern half of the sub continent, quintessential India, an ancient and sacred country. I know very well Indian culture in its multitudinous forms, art and music, food and dress, endless creative national expressions. Sangam’s is *the bullseye* of authenticity among this small city’s Indian eateries. The eating experience at Sangam’s is literally like dropping into Delhi for a couple hours. There is no better word description than “Absolutely Divine.” The atmosphere, the ambience, the bright and attending floor and kitchen staffs make every meal at genius chef “Benny’s place” ~ an authentic Ithacan, too! ~ a very very special dining treat. Amazingly inexpensive. 5 Star JEMstone Recommendation ????? John Edmiston Milich, Ithaca NY
They provided an abundance of great food that satisfied everyone. It was quickly eaten up by our members and people who smelled the good food. Would recommend.
