Serendipity is the best caterer in the Fingerlakes and I cannot recommend them enough. I am an event planner and have used them often due to their really amazing food and great service. They always have all of the details covered from the food, to the printed menus, to the table decor, etc. They can accommodate any dietary restrictions or special food requests. They are responsive and working with them is a pleasure. They are expensive, but worth every penny. Highly recommend for any event!

This company has catered our Holiday Dinner each year for 3 years. I wanted to say thank you to Caterers today who provided us with another delicious meal yet again. The chicken with mushrooms was cooked perfectly and tasted delicious and the roasted sweet potatoes were the best I ever had. I would love to know what product they are. The deserts were yummy too especially the brownie with peppermint . I wish I took more leftovers. Thank you and Happy Holidays!

I have DJ'd many upscale weddings where Serendipity was caterer. From my extensive firsthand EATING experience, I must say they are TOPS !!!!!! The only thing I miss having retired from DJing now in 2023 is their food!

Serendipity did an amazing job catering my wedding! The food was absolutely delicious and every single staff member was kind and helpful. We couldn’t believe the beautiful cake they made for us - it looked exactly like the photo we sent in! They take care of every single detail.

I cannot fully describe how awful our experience was with serendipity, but I will try so that hopefully others can avoid this business at all costs!Tldr: Very hard to contact and work with for months before giving us a quote 2x other quotes we'd gotten. By that point we were locked in and then she drops us as client with <4mo to the wedding. We had to scramble to find another vendor. Horrible business. We began our booking with them about 11 months in advance of our wedding date and almost immediately things went downhill. They were extremely elusive and slippery when it came to getting on the phone to actually plan things. We would try 3-4-5 times over the course of a couple weeks to get a hold of someone before we actually did and then she didn't have "our file in front of her" so she couldn't actually help with planning. It took about 3 months to get a menu and another 3 to get a price quote. We finally get the quote now 5 months before our date and the prices are exorbitant. For our small 80 person buffet style wedding without a meat option she wanted to charge almost 30k. I understand that great service comes at a cost though so we called and asked for an itemized list to see what we were paying for. Some of the highlights were $4000 for wait staff although she couldn't tell us how many staff would be there or their purpose. An 18% service fee on the cost of our venue because she spoke with them on the phone to coordinate! When we asked her about these things and many other charges she didn't respond for weeks. No further contact and another month goes by. We begin to get worried that we may be stuck either without a caterer or with a bill that is literally 200% the cost of all the other quotes we've gotten. Now we are 4 months from our wedding date and we finally get an email back "It seems like price is a big problem for you guys so I don't think we can work together". That's it. No call. No attempt to work together. Just dropped us as a client with 4 months before the wedding. Atrocious behavior, steer clear at all costs! Not even sure we got our deposit back.

Serendipity catered our June 2021 wedding at the Ithaca Farmers Market and provided all tables/chairs/plates/etc.We had an incredibly positive experience working with their team. Even though COVID presented so many challenges and uncertainties while planning our big day, the team's professionalism, experience catering many large events and their knowledge of our venue provided us so much peace of mind, especially as we planned our wedding 100% remotely.Prior to our wedding day, they were easy to get in touch with, knew every question to ask us and proactively did so. They took all of our thoughts into consideration while making good suggestions to make our vision even better. On our wedding day, they arrived well ahead of time to set up, followed the plan we discussed so the evening flowed seamlessly and the food and drinks were great! They cleaned up afterwards and truly made the experience so easy. Both my husband and I would highly recommend Serendipity!

When Bitcoin was introduced by Satoshi people were largely ignorant of the harmful side effects of it not until it becomes the most popular digital marketing currency and with Bitcoin I was able to invest on a good broker website and with that I can make thousands of money trading Bitcoin after mining successfully by an Expert trader called Kathrine.I’ve used my $1000 to earn $11,000 with Kathrine, and you can get in touch with her website details for contacting her on

The team at Serendipity is amazing! They were so easy to work with, were very quick to respond and were flexible to our needs. We picked up a family meal for 8 people to bring with us for a weekend away in the Finger Lakes for our mom's 70th Birthday. Serendipity called us that evening when they realized they had forgotten to give us one of the trays. One of their team members drove an hour each way to drop it off to us. Most places would have just credited the meal back. The food was absolutely delicious and the entire family loved the meal! I would highly recommend Serendipity and I am excited to work with them again in the future :)

Fun, safe environment outside for listening to music with friends with a drink and pretty extensive food selection.

I just ordered tame out from Serendipity's Back Lot. The best pierogies I've ever had Covered in so many sautéed onions with a very interesting homemade applesauce. Delicious. The arancini was crispy and the sauce was also great. I tried the back lot BLT. Again probably the best BLT I've ever had. I'd highly recommend ordering takeout or heading up to the back lot to sit around the fire pit while enjoying the fantastic food. In conclusion, eat there ¨

Amazing outdoor converted space, great menu, food, ambiance. I felt thankful for Covid19 because it gave South Hill the Backlot. Outdoor movies, too?! Great work, guys!

I ordered the Peanut Satay Chicken bowl for delivery, and while it was delicious, it definitely wasn't worth $16. I'd say it's worth around $9. Noodles were good but the actual "peanut satay chicken" was just grilled costco-quality chicken breast with store-bought peanut sauce thrown on top. I get that places need to make money in hard times during this pandemic, but also they shouldn't charge obscene amounts of money for food that isn't worth the price. Yes, it's a collegetown with a lot of rich college students using their parents money, but with those prices it only caters solely to that demographic. It also exploits the hard earned money of potential newly-weds on their big day, considering this place also caters to weddings and large events. This place should at least get local ingredients, because only then would I consider buying a bowl like this one. Also my bowl ended up looking nothing like the photo they posted.
