Sumo Japanese Sushi And Hibachi Grill

had an amazing meal both times we went in person. ordered thru Uber eats for the first time and they did not disappoint. 2 extra sides of rice and extra small things of yummy sauce. I love this place

Went here for my daughters 12th birthday with some extended family so there was 7 of us and the hibachi experience was just amazingly fun here at Sumo! I highly recommend! Thank you staff and cooks!

This place used to be a fast paced environment until they changed the front desk staff. It is the slowest service right after Chipotle now. Usually when you placed an order for pick up and arrived at the front desk, it was given to you within 2 mins. Terrific service! But it seems like things have changed, the old staffers who used to provide efficient service, are no where to be found. They never really had a long line, until the changed. Now it stretched to the door on most days.

There is no doubt that this is the most perfect Japanese restaurant in Ithaca. The food is very fresh and delicious, and the waiters are very friendly. The time I went was very busy and I quickly got my Drinks and food.The waitress is very hospitable and I will go back all the time.

Hands down the worst resturant experience ive had in my life waited almost 30 minutes after being seated to even get drinks having to ask the host to be served , they forgot to bring the appetizers until the full course meal was already done it wasnt even the right order they did this twice, we only tipped 10% due to service being terrible and the host lady even had the audacity to chase us down out of the restaurant asking for a bigger tip couldnt believe it wanted to go back in and make a 0% tip after that, i will not be going back to this place EVER!!!

Craving sushi we searched looked up google and went for the highest rating. We ordered California roll, spicy tuna hand roll, ikura hand roll, yakisoba and edemame. All food came out at once. California roll was average. Although it looks simple California roll is a good litmus for the rolls. It really needs the right balance. Spicy tuna needed a little more kick. Yakisoba was bland. It needs more sauce. Overall it was average. We will search for another sushi place.

My hubby and I travel 2 1/2 hours once a month to get food from Sumo. Their food is amazing and the staff are the absolute sweetest. They're amazing and so welcoming.

Clean, good selection but nothing too crazy.

A surprisingly beautiful spot in an old strip mall. The atmosphere was rich and warm, food was delicious, and the staff was delightful.

Placed my order at 11:45, and didnt get it till 12:19. I get you have new workers, but could you move alittle faster at lunch time. My food wasnt even hot.. so I imagine it was just sitting there.
