My daughter recommended sunset for breakfast. It's a cute little greasy spoon up the hill with a great view of the lake. We came for Sunday breakfast, and they we're definitely busy. That said the food was amazing and worth the short wait! Seriously, the corned beef hash and bacon waffle were out of this world. Once we were seated, the waitress was great. I would 100% recommend to anyone looking for a solid meal and will be returning when I visit in the future.

As new faculty at Cornell, my husband and I decided to try brunch on Sunday morning while we are house shopping. We waited for 20 min without any service. Can’t comment on the food as we didn’t get any. The view was very pretty.

My daughters and I went Saturday morning and because we had the grandkids with we went in to ask how long the wait was. The man at the front told us that we would just have to wait for the one table to leave and he could seat us. So we brought everyone in. We understood that we would be waiting probably another 15 minutes or so which was ok. We were also told that the girls basketball team was coming in. Again ok. The table that we were waiting for had cleared and was reset, but instead of seating us first they rearranged tables from all over the dining room for the basketball team. If they would have seated us when the table was set we could have had drinks and our order in before they were finished putting all the table's together. When they then had the basketball team sit and still hadn't seated us we decided to leave. The man also was barking at everyone waiting, because we were not the only ones, to move away from the dining room. He also told another group who said that they had a reservation that, "your reservation was moved back 20 minutes so you are a half hour early. So yea." Will not be back!! Try The State Diner, it was great!!!!!

If you want a great meal this is your place. The restaurant overlooks the lake, the patio offers a wonderful view but is currently closed. Now about the food , the gyro here is large and stuffed with lamb, lettuce, tomato, tons of feta and a heavy doze of cucumber dressing. It's amazing. Been here numerous times and always busy. Enjoy...Parking: Limited amount of spots and tight lot.

Good diner:The diner’s prices were reasonable. The service was friendly and meal portions were plentiful. Definitely a good place for lunch. Nice to be asked about our stay when leaving. Pleasant experience.

Unbelievable views and atmosphere decorated with vintage Ithaca college and Cornell memorabilia. Affordable menu, great wait staff. Family owned and operated. Must visit if in the Ithaca area. Perfect spot to pick up spirits and wine at Top Shelf liquor including the famous 6 Mile Creek Vineyard selection. Ask for the cashier Summer for recommendations. Cheap gas at Smiley's with Pizza and Wings. View alone is worth the visit . Shout out to Robert the owner. Rogan's corner forever! An Ithaca staple. RIP Frank & Julie.

Food was bland at best, there was no hostess to seat you so the wait staff had to do it all. However the view was great.

Two stars for the food and for experiences many years past. (Otherwise it would be one.)More recently, there have been major problems because the owners do not hire enough staff. Food is extremely slow and servers are completely overwhelmed.Very very slow... Not uncommon to wait a half an hour to be seated and an hour or more for food. Based on multiple attempts to give them another chance, we have finally given up.
