Taste of Thai Reviews
Food was delicious. Will certainly return!
Super disappointed at our experience there. We were seated right away, restaurant was perhaps half-full. It smelled heavily of bathroom air freshener. We should have noticed the tables around us without food. Placed our order quickly. Oh, no liquor license anymore?! That was a huge zinger. We ordered fresh spring rolls as an appetizer, confirmed that they be fresh, as in not fried, but they delivered fried spring rolls after 30 min. We had to send them back since we are GF. Taste of Thai offers a delightful dining experience with a romantic ambiance. The menu caters to various dietary restrictions, including gluten-free and Jain options, as well as dishes without onion and garlic. The Pad Thai is described as sweet, savory, and nutty, with umami flavors from chopped peanuts. The Yellow Curry, although unexpectedly sweet, has a good balance with savory beef and potatoes. The mango sticky rice is praised for its ripe mango and chewy, sweet rice. The flavors are truly authentic, perfectly balanced, and not overly salty, with just the right level of sweetness. The staff are excellent, friendly, and helpful, always ready to offer recommendations. A recent visit highlighted an outstanding experience when the restaurant surprised a guest with a birthday celebration, creating a memorable moment in a candle-lit dining room. Prices are reasonable, making it a great value for such quality. The food is excellent, with dishes like Mom's recipe Cashew Chicken and Chicken Satay being highly recommended. However, some reviews noted that the service can be slow during busy times, and a few dishes, like the massaman curry and pineapple fried rice, did not meet expectations. Despite these minor issues, many dishes, including spring rolls, fried tofu, green curry, and spicy fried rice, were found to be really good.
