The Greenhouse Cafe & Cocktail Lounge

We only had drinks but the drinks were great and all 3 bartenders on Saturday evening during apple fest were wonderful! Very pleasant and custom made a shot from a loose recipie we had, and they were so fun! The plants hanging all over made the environment sooo relaxing and chill, such a cute place. We appreciated the vibe, the banter and delicious drinks, cant wait to come back!

I’ve never walked into a place and felt more at home than I did at this establishment. What drew me in were the windows decked out in houseplants, soft lighting from the globe lights hanging amongst the ceiling, and of course the great sounding menu. The drinks were amazing and customer service could not have been better. I walked in and was immediately helped. The staff was personable, super friendly and always went out of their way to make sure I was good. If you’re looking for a lounge with great drinks, music, soft lighting and overall great vibes, you gotta check this place out. You won’t be disappointed!

This is a chill little spot where your comfortable retro bar meets an internet coffee shop. If you're looking for comfort and a friendly smile, this place seems to be the spot. The coffee is amazing, with cool little games in random.places. Summer was our bartender, and was very helpful giving us cool tips about the town and area surrounding.

Walked in yesterday expecting to order some salads. Stood at the counter for sometime, and I have no problem waiting for service. But the gentleman behind the counter gave us no eye contact. No acknowledgment. What seemed like many awkward minutes later he finally looked my way and literally rolled his eyes. I had no choice, but to walk out. I have no problem, waiting for service, especially when it seemed he was working alone. I would’ve understood if it took some time to get our order placed but to roll his eyes at me was uncalled for.

Great vibes, excellent whiskey cocktails

Used to come here a lot. I was here yesterday and enjoying my matcha latte - until I have felt something in my mouth as I take my last sip. There was this white-pinkish, hard bead thing in the drink, still no idea what that is but that thing broke between my teeth as I chewed. The lady on the counter said she has no idea and mumbled that she is sorry, and didn’t offer me any refund or redoing the drink (it was other male staff member who made my drink fyi). Didn’t ask me if I was okay at all or anything - it was a very awkward moment. Having an unidentifiable object in your drink is a food hazard? Think it will be my last visit.

Some of the worst service I have ever experienced. The most unreasonable waiting time ever. We order four drinks and they brought two out within ten minutes but it took the other two about 30 minutes. For literally two drinks it’s absolutely outrageous. The place wasn’t even very busy. I rarely leave bad reviews but I had to. I will never come back here and I will make sure to tell everyone how terrible my experience was. Ridiculous.

The service today was very slow, they didn’t have the items on the menu, the food so far has taken 1.5 hours to come and we are still missing plates.
I ordered the black pepper tofu bowl because they didn’t have quinoa for the Greek quinoa bowl. As soon as my plate came the rice was not completely cooked, it is supposed to come with: marinated cucumbers and carrots and black pepper sauce, out of those it only came with carrots which were not marinated, when I asked for the sauce they told me I they can’t give it to me because the sauce it’s on the fridge and they would need to take it out and warm it…
Just awful and expensive. Vibe is nice, aesthetically is nice, everything else, no thank you.

Absolutely love this gem of a location right off the Ithaca Commons. The staff are the best, fun and personable and make you feel right at home. Ithaca is lucky to have Greenhouse as an option for delicious nibbles and fantastic cocktails.

I have been here many times and have only ever had the best experiences, but the bartender working on 4/25/25 at around 9 pm was completely unprofessional and quite honestly ruined the vibes. My partner and i both chugged our (mediocre and half full) espresso martinis and high tailed it outta there. He was clearly angry (at himself?) and muttering profanities right in front of us while we sat at the bar. The poor hostess seemed embarrassed and apologetic for his behavior, she seemed like an excellent employee and I felt bad for her. We love greenhouse and want them to keep succeeding and would hate to see them lose customers over bad behavior!

Barely walked away from the crowded counter where you order cocktail like it’s a coffee shop and the lady behind the counter was very rude and said “you’re not gonna tip your bartender?”… after I walked away she continued to talk to my friend about how “it wasn’t the time for that” and how she “didn’t care if it was rude or not”. I hope their bartender makes good money but I was not serviced. Your name gets screamed when your drink is ready and you have to go get it. Not my cup of tea and I won’t be back!

Great place to enjoy a few non alcoholic drinks and chat with friends. The owner and his staff were very friendly. And the drinks were no to sweet as some mock-tails tend to be.
