This is the best espresso martini I’ve ever had. As someone who gets espresso martinis in NYC frequently they are never as good as the ones from greenhouse.

Unfortunately we were unable to eat here at 5pm on a Saturday. We were visiting from out of town with our 1 year old and our dog in tow. We had planned our whole day around us eating here for dinner because some of the reviews said it is dog friendly. I tried to call ahead of time but it went straight to voicemail. I checked their Facebook, Instagram, and their website to make sure they could accommodate our dog. I didn’t see anything online about them not being open. We showed up at 5pm and the doors were locked, lights were off, and they were closed. It completely ruined our plans for a nice dinner out with our dog, since most dog friendly restaurants require you to sit outside (it is the middle of January). No fault to the restaurant for simply being closed, but they could have at least put something on social media (or even their door??) that said they would not be open from 11-11 as advertised.

I had a disappointing experience at this restaurant. The ambiance was quite dark, and there was visible tension among the staff. They were even shaking hands with customers without gloves, which made me uncomfortable. The cheese plate had limited options and was underwhelming, but the pretzel was decent. To add to the discomfort, the staff openly discussed their issues in front of customers. Unfortunately, the food didn't impress me, and we ended up leaving most of it behind. What made it worse was a strange comment from a staff member about leaving food. Weird vibes all around.

I really wanted to love this place. A cafe just off the Commons where you can sip coffee surrounded by plants? Loved the idea, but not so much the reality. Firstly, the smell was pretty strong. You know how when you're changing the water in a bouquet and it's a bit pungent? That's what the interior smelled like the day I went. Avid plant people might not mind, but I wasn't feeling it.There was live music that day. Upon walking in already I was already leery. For such a small space the performer was a tad too loud. Also, she was signing to a pre-recorded track. Lots of Lady Gaga. Her voice wasn't bad, but it just was not the vibe I was looking for.I don't remember exactly what my latte was, I think lavender sage? It was tasty, but a little pricey, especially for the size glass it came out in.Staff was nice. Cashier was hustling. This was just not it for me. I probably won't be back since I'm not in Ithaca often. Truth be told this was more of a 2 star experience for me but I'm rating 3 because there was a charm to it and under different conditions it could probably be better.

I originally ordered an espresso martini and a veggie flatbread. But, I loved the atmosphere, food, and service so much I added an Americano and stayed longer. Jennifer and Caleb make a guest feel like family! They are amazing, and so is the Greenhouse Cafe.Vegetarian options: They accommodate all diets.

We stopped in here on a whim for some N/A cocktails. We had a terrible food experience around the corner and popped in here for some respite. We ordered a pineapple mocktail and a lavendar mocktail. While the lavendar was a tad sweet for my liking, the pineapple was great. The inside it cute and would be a nice place to meet up with a pal for healthier food / drink options.

Loved the arugula salad. Really great staff and vibe. Great cocktails. Would have liked a stronger coffee, but overall high marks!

Good service and good options for vegan and gluten free.Unfortunately every time I order food here it’s legitimately bad. I ordered the BLT today and it had something that tasted like apple sauce on it? Gotten the cheese plate in the past and it was served on a shovel.I always end up here due to to location but I should just stop trying the food.Dietary restrictions: Lots of vegan and gf options

My partner and I went here for coffee. The woman behind the bar was incredibly rude and unprofessional (unresponsive or short with us when she wasn’t on her phone), the drinks were bad, and there was early 2000s club music blasting to the point that we couldn’t hear each other talking (it was around noon lol). A few weeks later, we popped back in to ask if we could pin a flyer for our business on their community bulletin board. A kind employee assured us we could. While we were pinning the flyer, the rude woman from the day we’d come for coffee came out of the back and started hawking my partner (who is Black) as though she were doing something illegal. I asked if everything was okay, and she shrugged and kept staring at my partner. When we were about to leave, she leaned over the bar and yelled loudly at my partner regarding the placement of the flyer, which apparently she did not approve of. It was a humiliating and uncalled for response to a simple issue that she should have dealt with like an adult. I can only assume that this was the same employee others have described as prejudiced against Black customers. Needless to say, we will not be coming back, and advise people to take their business elsewhere.
