I came here every few months when my parents came into town. Usually pretty solid steak dinner but a can be a miss when there’s high traffic in town. My last meal, grad dinner, fell short of expectations. Even the larger portions didn’t justify the $60-$100 entree prices. A few of the waitresses were rushing our meal, coming to our table to ask us if we were done despite plates being still full of food. This was odd, as we haven’t had this issue before. The food itself tastes good but is fairly conventional and doesn’t go out of its way to experiment.

I drove down from Cape Vincent to meet one of my best friends from college who was in the area for a family wedding. I was completely blown away by my meal. The waitress was incredible. I had the Chilean sea bass and it literally melted in my mouth. The salad with fresh fruit and a raspberry vinaigrette was outstanding. We ordered coffee and I was brought a little tray with fresh whipped cream, as well as other delightful garnishes. Finally… the mile high carrot cake!! Pure bliss. Thank you for a truly memorable experience. And I was so grateful that we weren’t rushed. We don’t get to see each other frequently and it was a blessing to just spend time together.

Great restaurant in Ithaca. That chocolate soufflé is crazy good. Steaks were lacking salt in some areas. Not super tender either for the price you pay for. Still good quality food regardless.

The Branzino is one of the best fish I have ever had! We were a group of 12 initially for graduation. We had to move things around because they had our group in different rooms but they were able to accommodate us by squeezing us in one table. All food was great!

The Heights is hands down one of the best dining experiences in Ithaca. The food was exceptional—every bite was perfectly executed. I ordered the seabass special, and it was outstanding: delicate, flavorful, and beautifully presented. My daughter had the mahimahi, also a special of the day, and it was just as impressive. Both dishes were fresh and expertly prepared.

The service was professional and attentive without being overbearing, and the atmosphere was elegant yet relaxed. If you’re looking for a truly memorable meal in Ithaca, The Heights should be at the top of your list.

Me and my fiancé had dinner last night after pivoting because our concert got postponed. Great thing we made it in. Everything was amazing. The food, the drinks , the dessert. Our waitress was very knowledgeable and friendly. I would recommend this place to anyone. We will be back!

Nice little place where the food and the atmosphere are quaint. It's very romantic and you can't go wrong when it comes to impressing all that has a chance to eat there. The food is always way above standard, and I can tell they take pride in what they do.

Super disappointed. We ate here last year and loved it but tonight was under whelming. The appetizers - harvest vegetable was meh and the shrimp cocktail was just okay. I had the salmon and my husband and daughter shared the rib eye. Salmon was okay and the rib eye was terrible - chewy and not flavorful.
The chocolate lava dessert was delicious, we should have just had that.
Total bummer, we won’t be going back.

We had a private dinner for a group of 40+ people at The Heights and it was an amazing experience start to finish. Thank you to Dominick for helping plan my event and being accommodating to last minute changes. A big shoutout to George and Sydney for being friendly, prompt, and providing amazing service. Lastly, thank you to everyone behind the scenes including the bartender who was slinging drinks in a timely manner and the chef/cook staff that made delicious food for our group. Looking forward to returning for another event!

They have a good collection of grilled fish entrees.

Food was very good. We came somewhat late and one person’s pasta dish was a little cold. The dinner rolls were a bit greasy. The cocktails were excellent as were the two specials that evening (sea bass and tenderloin).

Food was interesting. It was a lot of sweet and savory where the taste and flavor of the food was lost by the sticky and sweet sauces adorning the plate. Presentation of the plates was very good but too bad the dishes didn’t taste as good as they looked. The lava cake that they are so famously known for was also very underwhelming, again the doused it in sauce. It’s a shame that the quality of food doesn’t equate the high prices. Service was alright but the atmosphere made up for it.

This restaurant's food theme is mixing sweet and savory. If that's your thing, you'll love it - cherries or apricots or grapes in the entrees, raspberry vinaigrette on the salads - even the pickles on the burger were sweet rather than dill.

I don't actually like sweet with savory, so there was very little appealing to me on the menu.

Fabulous service and atmosphere.

Very solid and quite good but, given its prices, doesn't really reach a 5 star rating
