Sensational every time we go!! My husband and I are originally from Los Angeles and discovered this precious gem years ago before they moved to their expanded, current location. The vibe is warm welcomes with eclectic decor.
Their menu rotates which is a pleasant surprise to our palates every single time! Gentry and his staff truly pay attention to the details not only when it comes to the dishes but also the refreshing cocktails. Also, a special shout out to the wonderful bartender, Manny! A 10/10 experience every time!

We had a lovely table, super friendly service (we had David as our server). He was incredibly kind and patient helping us choose wines/sherry. Food was delicious and I’m so jazzed about the pork milanese. It was relaxing and I enjoyed myself a lot, great experience. I will be back

I was pleasantly surprised with the short menu and excellently described dishes. The service was impeccable and the food did not disappoint. I wish we had saved room for dessert.
Disappointing- we ordered the bacon wrapped figs, collard greens and a cheeseburger. The cheeseburger we ordered medium and it came out way over more like well done and very hard to cut through. Not juicy at all- it had a sparse toppings of red onions. We ordered bacon with it which came out late and after our food came so they comped that. The collard greens were really good and the dates were as expected but based on the main entree I would never go back.

The Rook is so good. The new location is beautiful. The goat cheese stuffed dates are delicious.
The Rook has been a favorite since its original location on state street. I didn’t thinking could get better until I saw their new space. The food, drinks, and staff will keep you coming back time and time again!
usually i don’t give places five stars unless they’re above and beyond. this place didn’t inspire me to change the world, but it did help us have a great night. this restaurant is on a less busy street so you can actually enjoy eating outside without loud cars sweeping your conversations away (i hate road noise). inside it was a little loud (it was a saturday night) but i got over it.
staff seemed pretty nice but didn’t get to interact with them much beyond ordering
the pasta was really good. i don’t often get to enjoy food to this level. not sure what it was called. foccini maybe?
