I got bon bu hue - terrible meat quality . My husband got the number 1 pho - no taste at all and too salty. Definitely do not recommend.
Tucked just off the Commons, Pho Time brings a reliable, no-fuss spot for Vietnamese comfort food right to the heart of Ithaca. The menu is compact but hits all the classics: rich, aromatic pho, fresh spring rolls, and satisfying vermicelli bowls (lemongrass grilled pork is my fav).
The broth is the star here—deeply savory with just the right balance of spice and sweetness. Whether you go for the traditional beef or opt for chicken or vegetarian, each bowl comes generously portioned with plenty of fresh cilantro and basil, lime, and crunchy bean sprouts on the side.
For us, Pho Time has become a weekly ritual. It’s the kind of place you can count on for a comforting, delicious meal that always hits the spot—whether we’re grabbing a quick pick-up order or sitting down for a casual dinner.
The space itself is small and unfussy, perfect for a simple lunch or dinner when you’re craving something warm and soothing. Service is friendly and quick, even during peak times, and the prices are reasonable for the portion sizes.
In a town with growing options for global cuisine, Pho Time holds its own as a solid, go-to spot when you want something simple, filling, and reliably good.
I would 1000% recommend them. The service and food is fantastic. I would rate them 10 stars if I could cause they were just that good.
Found a short black hair in my pho. Was very excited about trying it for the first time now I don't think I'll be eating it.
My daughters love the pho 🍜😋
There was hairs not only in my ramen but also chicken wings. Absolutely disgusting! I asked the waitress to give me a refund but they only gave a discount and didn’t even make me a new dish. In fact the waitress spoke rudely to me as if I was the problem- even after I picked out the hairs out of the food and showed them to her. I am never going here again and wouldn’t recommend anyone else either to go eat at a restaurant which is unhygienic and serving people hairy food. 🤮
The food was so fresh and delicious, the space was clean, and the staff was friendly. We had Tai Pho, Grilled Lemongrass Beef Vermicelli, and Duck Bao Bun. Everything was SO good. I seriously am still thinking of the food 6 days later. I am not from the area but if I ever come back to Ithaca, I will get a meal here!

The first thing I have to say is the water tasted like mold. My partner also agreed. We were unable to drink it, it tasted terrible. We ordered Thai iced tea. It was just ok.. tasted more milk or cream than the sweet tea side. I also had to wonder if the ice machine has ever been cleaned due to the moldy tasting water. The food was not what I had expected. It was just eh..ok. The chicken pho soup was bland and lacked flavor. The meat rolls were pretty good. The moldy tasting water is what ruined the meal. I don’t understand how this place is serving this water.

I would say our experience was borderline decent but not great. We got the noodle bowl with shredded pork and shredded chicken. The chicken was entirely tasteless and seemed undercooked so we left it uneaten to be safe. The pork was just ok. Overall we found it dissatisfying and left looking for another place to eat.

Did door dash. Mostly noodles in the pho with broth, not much more. Good if your looking for nothing but carbs.. The Summer rolls are 95% noodles with nothing else.

The pho was very poor quality. Just like one can’t trust the meatloaf in a Western restaurant, one can’t trust whatever mystery meat was thrown into the pho. Having just enjoyed an excellent pho in California, I was deeply disappointed what I found here in Ithaca. The broth and bean sprouts were the only acceptable part. The summer spring roles (funny name) were simply overstuffed with rice noodles and included only a sliver of chicken. The peanut sauce was ok. The chilli sauce was good too, and customers definitely need the chilli to cover the taste of the meat. I think the staff are trying hard, but they probably need to try harder. If a poor student needs carbs and doesn’t mind mystery meat, then it might be suitable. Otherwise, forget it.

We enjoyed the food we ordered from here: Pho with rare beef and meatballs, grilled pork chop with rice, meatball soup, imperial meat rolls.
The pork chop was flavorful, however I wished it was not so greasy. It tasted like it was pan fried with a lot of oil.
Service was fast. Staffs were friendly and attentive to customers.
