Now I'm from Brooklyn so maybe the wording of what I'm ordering is different upstate? I ordered the bruschetta as an appetizer and only got bread topped with a slice mozzarella. No tomatoes. Never ordered bruschetta and didn't get tomatoes. The waitress refused to take it back. I'm lactose so I always pick the mozzarella off and enjoy my bread an tomatoes and I said this to the waitress who never corrected me. (I give the mozzarella to my family).
Now on to my main course. I ordered a wedge salad with an additional grilled chicken that costed me $7 extra. Please explain how that baby cup of chicken was $7.? That wouldn't even be enough for a child. It's like they took 1 slice of chicken and cut it up into tiny pieces and charged me $7. Again I was refused more chicken unless I paid more! I was already $25 into the cost of what I received and I needed to pay more? No.
My 2 friends who got steak in their salad had tons of meat.
I left Tavern hungry.

The service was a bit delayed but in their defense it was evening hours on the weekend so a little wait is expected but this was just a bit longer. They definitely made up for the wait when they helped me with the bill (I had lost my card earlier so I was using someone else’s and money was limited) I had went over my budget and they were right there to work with me and change it. This was my first time ever in there and they were very kind and helpful right away. Also the food was amazing with large portions. I highly recommend.
