Had an absolutely wonderful first experience at the Tavern on Main. I truly appreciated that Lauren (the owner) had them open early enough that those of us who desired to watch the NCAA women’s final game on a big tv could.Jonathan was absolutely lovely—probably one of the most emotionally intelligent bartenders I have ever met. He made honest and on point food recommendations as well (the Brussel Sprouts and the ribs which were excellent) and ensured that the sprouts were crispy as requested. Will definitely be back soon!

I really try to like this place, we keep going because my partner loves the fish tacos. The service is usually ok. Valentines day we make reservations, they sit us at the bar. The bartender has no idea how loud he is, its insanely distracting. I asked the server for a burger, I let her know last time I asked for it medium rare, it came well done. Sure enough, out comes a well-done hockey puck. There was no onion jam on it as advertised. the lettuce on the plate looked like it was a week old and the tomato was total mush, fell apart in my hand as I tried to put it on the burger, oh with the stem end still on. The kitchen should have some respect for the product they are putting out. This place is so hit or miss, don't waste your time.

This is a great spot to eat and it never disappoints. Haven’t been there in a while because we live in the city. Tonight we had the tavern burger, tavern mac and cheese and I tried 2 of the specials. Beef barley soup and brisket sandwich which is probably the best brisket I’ve had in a very long time. The soup was very tasty and the brisket was full of flavor. It was topped with arugula, some sort of dressing and thinly sliced purple onion. It was outstanding.

The food was hit or miss; some of it was really good(the crab cakes, Brussel sprouts, and steak), while some was not very good at all(their fries were burnt, there quinoa salad had barely any quinoa, and there vegetarian wrap had more wrap than filling). The waitress we had was not at all friendly. We had to ask for appetizer plates, and she huffed and puffed about bringing them, then she brought too many, so my mother-in-law told her we didn't need that many and her rude response was "well I got them, so now I'm leaving them all here."All in all, I wouldn't recommend this place.
Interesting menu choices. Great service. Our waitress was great. We were able to eat outside on a lovely summer day.
