this place is a bait and switch operation masquerading as a restaurant. made reservations a few weeks ago..NO mention of a special, very expensive limited menu with nothing on it, if you didn't like shellfish. owner...the perpetrator of this fraud, decided the change the menu and didn't tell anyone not thr first time he did this..seems to be an old trick he does. save your money and your sanity and go somewhere else
Place is AWFUL...do not patronize!! They did a bait and switch for Valentine's Day and replaced their regular menu with a limited one that was overpriced and never told anyone. Go elsewhere, lest you be conned by an unsympathetic owner
Our whole experience there was horrible! Service was horrible. The food was just OK and our bill is over $700 for seven people.
A real let down We were crowded into a room with no ambiance. The wine was overpriced. All the shops that was supposed to be open or closed
I've been to the Millerage so many times since I was a little girl. I was excited to go since I had not been there in ages. The ambiance is still nice but just a different feel. Changes to the classic menu and other little touches were gone. My mom and I got the Turkey and it was good. My daughter got Mac and cheese with short rib which was gross. Hubby and son got a burger and sandwich which they said was good. We got calamari for appetizer which tasted like rubber and kids got French onion soup which they said was good. The most disappointing part for me was that they no longer had the peppermint candy ice cream for desert. Waitress said they were out of ice cream. We went over to the ice cream shop in the village and they didn't have it either. It was very pricy too so maybe I want to try the brunch.
Went New Year’s Eve for the price fix menu…not realizing we had option otherwise. No matter the food was very good until we got to dessert. My husband took one bite out of his dessert and I noticed something hanging. Turned out to be a very long hair that had apparently been stuck to the icing. He spit everything out and flagged down the waitress. She didn’t seem to phased and offered him a replacement dessert which he of course declined. Honestly I expected her to report it to a manager and to make some sort of concession. Another dessert wasn’t going to cut it since we just found a long hair in it. I found that very odd because any other place would have offered us something, a coupon, money off the bill, something. No manager coming to apologize. Nothing.Do they not want people to come back?
I had read quite a few reviews that with the new chef, Milleridge Inn was serving great food so we gave it a try. We had a 4:00 reservation on New Years Day and when we got there, we were told they were only serving buffet (when I got home, I checked their website and couldn't find any mention that New Years Day was buffet only). So we stayed because where else were we going on New Years Day at 4:00 with no reservation The drinks were really good - we all got seasonal special drinks. The place was decorated beautifully. Our server was great! But the food was so, so disappointing - especially for the price of $69pp. There was about 8-10 covered dishes that we did not have access to serving utensils so we had to wait for the server to serve us - there was only one server to serve everyone getting food. The food was really not good - chicken tenders were so hard the knife wouldn't cut them, the lo-mein was mushy and not flavored good, the shrimp tasted like it had been out for hours (which it had because we found out that 5:00 was the last seating so we basically got food that had been sitting out for quite a while) all the dessert cakes were pre-cut and because they had been out for a while, the outsides were very hard and dry. When the server lifted the lid for the butternut squash and goat cheese ravioli, all that was there was roasted squash - they had run out of ravioli and were just serving roasted squash. The server at the carving station wasn't quite sure how to cut the meat and once we got it, it was pretty flavor-less. The quiche and bacon were very good. We saw that another table had been served their popovers, which Milleridge is known for, so when we asked for some, the waiter said they didn't have any and then when he saw the other table with them, he was very surprised and bought us some. When all was said and done, it cost us each $116 and we left very unsatisfied and disappointed.
I’ve been going here since I was a kid. I went today and I ordered prime rib well done. It came out with a heartbeat. It went back and came out still more pink than brown. It wasn’t even medium well after the second time. I asked for a manager and I waited a half hour for the manager and they never came. I was gonna buy tickets for an upcoming event there but after today’s incident, I won’t be. Very disappointing!
The Milleridge Inn provides beautiful ambience, particularly festive for the holiday season. We adored going through the holiday village before having dinner - so many cute shops and spots for great photos. The restaurant itself was beautiful with charming decor - we especially loved the singers dressed in colonial garb who sang Christmas carols by our table. Our server was cheerful and brought a replacement cup of coffee b/c the first cup came to the table cold. He also checked on our food when we'd been sitting a while and waiting longer than normal for our dishes. Alas I wish we could rave about the food but it was pretty sub-par. I had a flounder dish that was pretty awful - by the time it came to the table it was dark and crusty and not even very warm like it had been sitting for a while. Even the 'clean' part of the plate's edges (that had no food on it) were kind of greasy which was suspicious. One member of our party compared it to 'cafeteria food'. For $28 - 45 per entree, we expected better.
This is a mixed review. Milleridge is a beautiful place to go during the holidays - great decorations, fun village to get photos, and it's family friendly. But if you go after 5, be prepared for crowds. We went midafternoon and that was a good choice. Our server was new and not very good - dinner plates weren't cleared when he brought dessert, we could never find him, and we had to ask for bread. You don't come here for the food, although it's fine. The lemon chicken was good and the mashed potatoes were excellent. Our dessert portion of ice cream was minuscule. Good for Christmas spirit but definitely not quiet gourmet dining.

I've been going to the Milleridge since I was a little girl. I will always want to go during Christmas time to walk around the little village, hear the Christmas Carolers and be among all the many decorations. Last night was a little disappointing. At reception we were told to wait on line, but some people were just standing around and we were standing behind them till we realized they were not on line!?!?! Two people at check-in, but no one really aware or managing. Maybe it was a challenging night? Some workers out sick? It was pretty packed yet we were told there was only one bartender! It took a little too long to get our drinks. In the past we've been serenaded by a quartet of Carolers singing at least 3 carols, but last night we got only one song from only 3 carolers? Maybe the Tenor was out sick? One bartender, one Christmas carol! Hopefully just an off night. The wait staff was very pleasant, the cinnamon bread as yummy as always - no complaints there! The food was okay - I don't go there for the food. I had the meatloaf which came with a very yummy corn strip! Very unique. I will try the Turkey next time. Our friends had burgers which were very good. Fries and mashed potatoes good. Butternut squash soup was nice. Light - not too creamy. They were too busy to accommodate any substitutions, which was a little annoying, but they were busy and obviously a little short staffed. It was helpful that the wait staff were all very relaxed and kind, with genuine smiles. The Little Village is adorable and you feel like you are in a Hallmark Movie! Some shops were gone or closed so even that seemed a bit lean and sparse. There's always next year!
To begin our night, no one came over for 10 minutes. There were 2 dirty napkins under my chair and went I brought it to the staff attention I was ignored and had to flag down another employee. Finally someone came over and took our drink order, which took 15 to arrive. Which was 1 beer and a seltzer. We ordered Calamari and it was missing one of the sauces that was listed on the menu. It took someone another 10 minutes to come back to the table to ask for the sauce. Which they replied some times we run out of stuff and “they” don't tell us. When our entrees arrived, my steak was overdone and dry (asked for medium rare). We waited 15 minutes after finishing dinner for acknowledgement/clearing the table. We then waited 10 minutes for the waitress to pick up the check after we put our card down. Mind you there was about 30 minutes we were the only table in our section.
Happy we experienced the restaurant at Christmas. Food and service were okay. Everyone liked the cinnamon bread and enjoyed the ambiance and Christmas carolers.
The Milleridge Inn is decorated absolutely gorgeous! Very festive. The Carolers inside the restaurant is a wonderful touch! Unfortunately the food is not that appealing or tasty. I would come back to stroll the Village but not to eat in the restaurant again.
Stake bread. Cold mashed potatoes. Warm meatloaf cleaning people hovering removing utensils and plates from your table without asking!!! Noisy!!! They can't handle the holidays. Go another time.
