Not impressed. I bought a half a dozen apple cider donuts. They were overcooked dried out dark as hell and no flavor. I paid them 8 bucks for six donuts and I feel like I got ripped off totally. They won't get any more of my money. The inside of the store was nice very nostalgic but if your ice cream is as bad as their donuts then I'm glad I didn't waste any more money.
Love the ice cream and jumble cookies!
Great service
Delicious homemade ice cream
Great price
Nothing beats their cookies
Only place I know to get chocolate jumbos, drove 45minutes each way, totally worth it
Perfect
Five stars for the kitsch, beautiful setting. We each had an ice cream cone and a look around. Then sat in chairs on the front porch by the piano. Neat
Great ice cream and a great variety of flavors!
Plentiful flavors of homemade ice cream paired with the old-school soda shop vibe alive! Arrived there just around opening, and im glad we did because they get busy! They do black and white cookies and some other goodies. They sold out of all their cookies in an hour! The ice cream barista said all the ice cream was harder than usual, so I told them I'm in no rush and I'd wait for it to soften to make it easier to scoop. Unfortunately, it had an ice like consistency instead of a creamy texture. I would definitely try them again. Went here solely based on previous reviews, and it was a little let down from what I was expecting. Was still good but not great.
What an awesome little hometown store located in Johnstown NY
A few novelty gift ideas. Homemade cookies( delicious) and fantastic homemade ice cream. So many ice cream choices. My granddaughters were in heaven. They loved it. I never knew this was here until I had seen a short story about this incredible place on our local news channel. Definitely will go back

We heard of this place on channel 10 news with Cassie Hudson. In the story they showcase that their recipes are still followed after all these years, even with changes in local ownership. This is not the typical modern day chemical laden, weird ingredient stabilized ice cream with an off after taste or mouth feel. This is the real deal that you gen x and older remember as REAL ice cream that you grew up on. We made the 49 mile one way trip from the Albany area. It's definitely off the beaten path. It's located in an enchanting quiet country
setting and makes for a great family day trip. Service is with a smile and friendly. They offer samples, but be warned as it makes deciding which to choose much harder, because all the flavors we sampled are exceptional. We started with scoops of the coffee, mint chocolate chip and coconut. The coconut we opted to get in the made to order waffle cone. They take pride in making sure your freshly made waffle cone is crispy and not overcooked. Their scoop is a generous portion and you have no choice but to finish it because it's just that good. For the home we purchased a couple of each type of cookie they had made for the day. The cookies at least made it home but we all could not wait and had to try them before dinner. Everyone probably has a favorite, but to us they are all equally good. The cookies can stand on their own, with a cup of coffee or a glass of milk, but it is even better with one of their ice cream flavors in between. We definitely will return, but not right away. Not because of the distance but because we went prepared just in case we found a gem... A cooler and ice packs came with us and we returned with pints of mint chocolate chip, coconut, coffee, black cherry chocolate flake, 2 orange pineapple, vanilla, and rocky trail.
Love this place
Good spot. Ice cream is delicious. Nice little steam with picnic tables. Limited parking.
Homemade hard ice cream? Yes please!!. The place should be a landmark. The staff , and atmosphere are amazing. Their annual craft fair is a yearly tradition and you can find them at most of the farmers markets selling delicious freeze dried candies, baked goods and ice cream.
