This place was quite nice! It's right on a lake, so a fantastic view was to be had. We didn't sit outside unfortunately because it had just rained, but that was an option.
My son and I shared a vegan pepperoni pizza which was AWESOME. We loved it.

Rating: jumbo pretzel and gelato.
The Pretzel are usually cooked throughout. 90% of the time they make an outstanding jumbo pretzel.
And the gelato is a game changer for the area. Which relies heavily on ice cream. Flavors are great especially the cherries and cream which should be an every week flavor not a once in a while flavor.
The employees though nice are very untrained and (management) should better prepare there employees with better training and knowledge of the products they sell.

Just terrible.
We arrived and were told to choose a table upstairs. After 10 minutes, we had to go and find some menus. We ordered soon after. A salad arrived 20 minutes later with no cutlery or napkins. Over an hour after that following numerous visits to the staff to find out where they were, our two pizzas arrived (an hour and a half after ordering). Again no plates, cutlery or napkins which we had to get ourselves. The staff don’t attend the tables. It’s a bunch of teenagers with no training and it shows. A real shame. We weren’t the only ones who complained about the shambles.

Benji and Jake’s is always a must have when looking for both ambiance and good food. We made a reservation to sit outside but when we arrived they didn’t have a record
Of it. Luckily there was still room and we were able to be seated overlooking the lake. We ordered a mixed green salad which is a standard salad but what takes it to the next level is the delicious spicy peanut sauce you can order as the dressing. We also ordered the Jackson Pollock pizza which provides a nice flavor combination of smokey eggplant, pesto and vodka sauce. My only complaint is this pizza is incredibly oily which is to be expected to a degree with the pesto and cheese. However, don’t let this stop you from ordering it and the flavor is well worth it. Highly recommend this place for delicious food and a great location.

Well, when they tell you that the head chef is not there and they can only serve appetizers, order a pizza. My wife ordered chicken tenders and they gave her food poisoning because they were under cooked. She's been puking and painting the toilet brown for 3 hours.

I came to Benji & Jake’s around 8:32 PM on a Saturday hoping to enjoy a drink and grab something to eat before their posted closing time at 10:00 PM. As we sat at the bar, which was fully seated including us, the bartender brought us drinks but never handed us menus or asked if we wanted to order food. Out of curiosity, I asked if the kitchen was still open, and her response felt dismissive—as if she had anticipated the question. She simply said the kitchen was closed and walked away.
Initially, I gave the benefit of the doubt, assuming we may have just missed the cut-off. But within minutes, we saw another group who arrived after us receive menus and successfully place food orders. Meanwhile, other patrons at the bar were being served meals, making our experience feel even more frustrating and awkward. We just sat there watching others eat while we were completely ignored when it came to food service.
This wasn’t our first visit here, but unfortunately, it reaffirmed a previous poor service experience. The bartender’s attitude seemed indifferent at best, and honestly, we couldn’t help but feel like our accents may have played a role in how we were treated.
If you’re not a local or don’t sound like one, you might want to lower your expectations. We won’t be coming back anytime soon.

This is - hands down - the best place to eat in the area. I tell everybody I talk to to eat here if they're in the Catskills. The pizza is amazing but don't miss out on their wings!! I always get the Dolce Diavalo pizza and, if you're lucky, you can get a table with a beautiful view of the lake!

Came here on 7/10 for desserts and a drink. The interior is rustic and very cozy. Upon entering the staff greeted us and was very friendly.
We ordered ice cream and a cocktail and sat on the back deck to enjoy the view and sun.
The homemade ice cream and pina colada was excellent.
I would definitely recommend this place at any time of day.
Thank you for a great experience.

This was a strange experience at a beautiful location , we were warned that they were understaffed tonight and things might take a while, but despite these delays and several false alarms with the wrong meals being brought out, when we got our food it was really good. Tasty wings, mozzarella fire sticks, corn ribs pitta and Houmus all delicious . Pizza and burger excellent too. The staff were lovely if a little befuddled and very young to be running the place , perhaps the management should help them out a bit more .
