My husband and I took one of our besties out for her birthday. We all tried each other's food, and it was all excellent. The only issue was my husband's burger initially arrived with cold fries, but they were quickly replaced with fresh hot fries I couldn't stop stealing! Service and food both great. Can't wait to go try other things on the menu!

We had an extended family dinner at the Ausable Inn. The seating was a bit tight. Also, the placement of the kid's table for 5 was a little uncomfortable. The food choices were very good. Some people really enjoyed their meal, some liked it but didn't love it. I had the duck, which was very flavorful but a little overdone, and the potatoes were not hot. One person said they loved the salmon. The haddock was 'ok'. Everyone loved the soup they chose, but again, it should have been hotter. The atmosphere was very lovely. Our waitress Mary was outstanding! The best! I would give it 3.5 stars, but our waitress Mary pushed it up to 4.

Our favorite place to eat in the High Peaks region. The atmosphere is cozy and quiet. The food is always fresh and delicious. Their Hungarian mushroom soup is what I would want for my last meal. We love the Ausable Inn so much, we asked them to host our wedding reception! Ellie and her team made everything seamless for us. They are such wonderful people who put love into their cooking. You feel like you are being nourished and served by family. A must-stop when in Keene Valley!

Packed tonight! We thought we'd have to sit at the bar but a small table opened up so e grabbed it.

I traveled to the USA to hike Mount Marcy and stayed nearby. On my way back to base camp, I decided to find some coffee. After driving about 40 miles, I found a place that offered food after 5:00 P.M. I expressed my need for coffee to a friendly lady there. She made an exceptional coffee for me without charging for the extra mug. I also enjoyed some fantastic, fresh food and a small local beer, all free of charge. The prices were high, but the food was definitely worth it. I highly recommend this restaurant if you ever find yourself in the USA.

Went there on a Sunday afternoon around 5pm. Walked in to ask the host for a table, noticed an open table outside and many open tables inside, to then be asked "if we had a reservation?", and then told that "they wouldn't be able to get us seated without a reservation". First time here. We were in the area and just looking for a simple, light lunch. Holey Moley! Everything was over the top yummy with a pleasant atmosphere and super nice staff. We had the chicken sandwich with mushrooms, potato salad, bison chili and wedges. Everything was obviously homemade and exceeded our expectations. Will be back.
