I love this place! Super consistent, which is my favorite attribute in a restaurant. I went there for blunch before COVID hit, fantastic. Portions are hefty, prices are incredibly reasonable. Just plane good food and a great staff. The grill guy knows what he is doing!!

If you are reading this because the wait at Sophia's is too long and you are looking for an alternative, yes, go here. This is a simple place, it's not fancy or trendy, but the food is good and the menu is huge so there is sure to be something for everyone in your party. My mom and step dad had come to visit and chose this place based on the reviews and the large menu. Although I don't live very far away, I had never been. It's seat yourself and we soon after helped ourselves to menus that we saw sitting on a counter nearby. It was some time before anyone came by for drink orders or even acknowledged us. That would be my only negative comment. I ordered the Huevos Rancheros which was a special. The poached eggs were served atop homemade cornbread rather than English Muffins. This was the part that sold me on this dish and it was fantastic. Avocado was included in the description. There was a small slice topping only one of the eggs and that seemed silly. But regardless, the dish was great. The homefries were made from fresh potatoes and done perfectly. I opted to include onions and they were also done just right and a great addition. My step father had the AM/PM burger which he ordered medium-rare knowing restaurants will rarely do that. But it was served medium, still some pink inside. He was happy to not be served a well-done burger. He also enjoyed the homefries with onions. My mother had a grilled chicken sandwich and a side salad. She said it wasn't the best chicken sandwich she ever had but it was good. It was a very good size, too large for her to finish. The side salad was simply iceberg lettuce with tomato and cucumber but she enjoyed it and noted that the tomato was very fresh. Overall, a pretty good experience.

Great service. Beautiful little neighborhood diner. Lots of parking. Excellent location on Military Rd near Kenmore Ave. across from the NFTA. Very good breakfast and coffee. Big delicious pastries available. Handicap accessible.
