Nice, casual dining with waterfront views, able to watch sailboats go in & out of Lake Ontario. Wood stove will be great in the winter! Very friendly staff. Had the Philly cheesesteak quesadilla -- perfectly cooked, was enough for 2 meals, so a great value. Clean, well-lit restroom.

We went here for my parents 50th anniversary and wanted this dinner to be special. We had reservations at a specific time and we showed up and they told us that they didn’t have our reservation. They told us that they don't not have room for us because they were full up right then, even though I have the text message from that morning, confirming that we were coming. Once I had showed them the text message we had to wait about 10 - 15 minutes while they scrambled to get us a table to fit 14 people. They only had two servers working so getting our drinks took awhile and we waited for our food for almost an hour. They forget to even cook an order. Worst dining experience I have ever had. We will NOT be eating here again.

We ordered 2 dinners- crab cakes and BBQ pork mac and cheese. Ordered drinks- they arrived with dinner an hour later. Waiter laughed when I asked what was on my plate (it was piled on iceberg lettuce) He said it must be "deconstructed". Husband's cheese? Liquid Cheez-Whiz. 3 or 4 tiny bits of pork. Both meals lukewarm at best. We didn't eat 1/3 of it. Waiter asked if we wanted To Go boxes. We declined. Never once asked if everything was ok, nothing. Have never been treated so poorly. Staff doesn't seem to care and apparently the cooks don't either. Don't waste your time or money.

Probably the worst meal our family ever experienced. Table behind us was also disgusted, as was another across from us. Extremely slow, and forgetful waitress, down to just to much to list wrong with the food. Do not get the Parm crusted fish thankfully I changed my mind. My wife and grandson weren't feeling well after also. Just horrible. $100 for nothing. Twice baked potato was so undercooked with my breaded fish that was overcooked. Wife's prime rib was horrible, and she was nauseous after eating only a quarter of it on the ride home. Sure isn't the same Black North from years ago.

The wait for food is crazy every time we go. Often dishes are barely warm and they always get my order wrong. Fish fries are good. And worth the money. But we rarely visit as most of the staff seems preoccupied with other duties and could care less about service.

Polite server but order took a very long time (beef sandwiches). Food was so so. Sadly, I think their glory days are done.

This just might be one of the worst meals I've had this year.

The french onion soup was easily the worst I've ever had. Big chunks of soggy bread, onions, cheese that wasn't fully baked and literally no broth. It was awful.

The shrimp po boy was suspicious from the second it was placed in the table. Coming from someone who has spent years as a cook, I can confidently say the fryer oil has not been changed in likely close to a month. The fries were a dark brown and greasy, and the flavor was bland and oily. The fried shrimp was also the same. A dark brown crisp color, with a bland and oily flavor. A clear indication the fryer oil was long past due to be changed. The design of the shrimp po boy sandwich clearly lacked any sense of presentation and creativity.

I also observed a couple women at the table behind me having an awful experience as well. They waited over 2.5 hours for their prime rib to be told there actually was no prime rib. They asked to speak with the owner so they could express their frustrations and the owner immediately left.

I came here because my folks used to come here many years ago and had said good things. But I can assure you whatever this restaurant once was, no longer is.

I will not be back, and I recommend others to so the same.

We went last night for dinner. The food was great. The wait staff was very polite, and the atmosphere inside of the building was very nice as well as the outside, because it is located on the shores of Lake Ontario.

First and last time here. Went on a Sunday evening with my husband. 15-20 minute wait, no problem. Sat in the enclosed porch which had no fans so it was really hot. They only had 20% of the menu offered because they ran out of just about everything. I ordered the shrimp tacos. They were so sad; 3 tacos with 3 small shrimp in each and sad salad under them with a sauce. That was it. No side came with it. No sides to order from. I was annoyed to pay $14.50 for it but did. They charge the same $$ for less food at restaurants in surrounding towns. Way over priced for what you get. As a bar, this place is fine. If you want to spend the same amount of money for way better food AND a full menu, head to The Grove in Kendall.

We sat down at 5:35. It was noisy. We were told at 6:30 our meal would be out shortly. It arrived at 6:50. Other customers came in after us and were served 15 minutes before us. NO, we will not be coming back.
