Alan was amazing, affordable prices for wine and tasting, beautiful view. Very recommended!
I loved this place. I was a bit skeptical at first but I think that added to the charm. The house is almost 200 years old. The owner/winemaker gave us our tasting. You could tell it was a passion. The wines were almost all good too great. I would have bought a few bottles regardless, but this is one of the best values we saw up here as his price point is well below most others. Wonderful visit! Owner/winemaker was so helpful & friendly, and we really enjoyed the time we spent with him. We tasted wines, loved his recommendations, chatted about our vacation to the area, and bought several delicious wines to bring home. He has a very nice variety of wines & great prices. Would definitely recommend!
They have an excellent selection of wine, including many you don't see often (they have 2 different albariños- my personal favourite, and they had several wines I have never heard of. I've been to somewhere between 200 and 300 wineries over the years and have never seen some of the ones they have available). During my tasting, I had a great conversation with the owner's grandson about the wine, the beautiful old house and the property. He was so friendly and welcoming. Afterwards, I enjoyed a glass on their wrap around porch. It's very peaceful outside. The railing to the entryway is covered in grapevines, so it feels like you're walking through the vineyard on your way in. I highly recommend stopping in and experiencing Yates Cellars
Alan is very personable and knowledgeable about his wines. I always enjoy his Reisling and Cabernet Sauvignon. We stop at his winery every year on vacation. The 180 year old house is a must see!
Slow rainy afternoon, stopped because of the 5 star rating. The proprietor, Alan was a wonderful host! We had a great time chatting with him. He was very knowledgeable about the wines and very very charming! Boutique experience, must visit!
Great place. Nice building.
Beautiful historic house! Wine was great. View was good. Staff were knowledgeable and friendly. Truly a gem in the wine trail!
One of the best wineries on Keuka.
The wine was quite good, best Saperovi I have tasted up here, and the gentleman serving us was very knowledgeable, even a little sassy. The view was fantastic and the house was full of history and charm. I think I would return here just to drink wine on the porch because it really is such a great location. There was also a super friendly doggo just chillin.

Alan was a great host only Seconded by the puppy greaters. Beautiful 180 year old home as the wine room setting
Wonderful wine and a beautiful setting. Alan welcomed into his winery very shortly before he closed up for the day on a rainy Saturday, and was extremely knowledgeable about his wine and friendly. Cannot recommend more
If you are in the Keuka area you have to stop by and taste the authenticty of these handcrafted wines. We bought 6 bottles and are going back for more.
Very friendly and knowledgeable owner- wine tasting experience felt very personal and it was a unique experience. Greeted by friendly dogs on the way in. Large variety of wine available for everyone!
First winery we hit by accident on our honeymoon. It was not on our radar and I must say we were pleasantly surprised. Ice wine was too die for.
