CASH ONLY. Luckily there’s an ATM right next door at Chase bank. Generous sizes and he will add as much white sauce as you want! $7.99 for lamb over rice with salad, two sauces, and a soda/water is a GREAT dealVegetarian options: Salad and falafel available

I'm writing this because the ratio of rice to meat is horrendous. It was my first time purchasing from this location in Kew Gardens, around the area of the City Clerk's Office. I can count eight pieces of meat (chicken & lamb) over rice. These are tiny miniature pieces, of course. The rest was just rice. There wasn't a lot of salad either, even though he advertises the extra/more salad, etc. The food was okay. I was in and out, so service was quick, which I liked.

The guy is very disrespectful. I recommend people not to go there. All I ask for to chop up my meat and he stars to screaming and cursing at me and telling me goodbye!

Be aware! The buy 1, get 1 free deal on one of the food platforms is a hoax. There was only half of the protein you would normally get from a Shah's stand and without drink (Higher price, too). And the protein and rice are not much flavored. It is better to get it from the corner of Queens Blvd and Main Street. $7.99 with normal amount of protein and a drink. Just to share my opinion, thanks.

I lived in KG for about a year, and this was a must anytime I passed by. It is in a convenient location near the Union Turnpike Subway Station. I moved out of NYC at the end of 2019, but I do find myself in the area from time to time. I always make a point to come visit this cart whenever possible, even if it involves a 40 minute ride on the Q10. Yes, it's that good. I like to get the platter combo with half chicken, half lamb, extra white sauce, light hot sauce. Pita on the side. I love this type of food, and have had it from many different spots all over the country, some mom n pop, some chains. This is BY FAR my faveourite one. I tell everyone about it, if you are anywhere near this cart you absolutely must go! What my stars mean: 5 is outstanding, a must-experience, someplace I would bring/recommend to a tourist 4 is great, someplace I would love to go back to again and again. Backup options to bring/recommend to a tourist 3 is good. Someplace I would return to if in the area. I probably wouldn't recommend to a tourist, but possibly to a local. 2 is ok but only because it is either cheap or convenient. 1 means I would not return

After a dental implant I needed to find a "soft" lunch that would taste ok lukewarm since I wasn't able to have anything hot. So I gave this place a chance. Combination platter consisted of lots of rice, shredded chicken, tender lamb, a small amount of salad, a choice of sauces (the proprietor recommended white being the mildest) and a can of soda. Delicious food and a hearty portion all for $8.00 including the soda.

Friendly guy - Wifey's go to guy for over rice and wraps for years. A ton of food for under $7 and comes with soda. One meal can usually feed two. Look at how big and how much meat is in one wrap!! Insane! Flavor wise, not too shabby. Somewhat on the blander side for me but the sauces take care of it. I prefer the chicken to the gyro meat here. A good option in Briarwood for sure!

Shah's halal cart has been on main street briarwood for years. Right out side the E&F train. I would see the cart all the time, but the other day was my first time trying Shah's halal cart. Me and wife ordered 2 chicken gyros with the white sauce, hot sauce lettuce, the works .both gyros were very meaty .And they cost $6 a piece, you also get a free soda with your meal. This cart serves up some good food, the next time iam up in briarwood iam going to try the chicken over white rice with the white sauce. The service is fast ,and the customer service is good as well. So if you are getting off the train ,using the elevator that is right up the way from the food cart.or just happened to be in briarwood passing by check out Shah's halal cart.
