I had my husband's 40th birthday at Shanahan's and everything was amazing. Deana was great to work with in terms of setting up the party and planning the menu. She was super helpful and answered all my questions throughout the process. The day of the party the space was set up and ready when I got there and Deana helped me put out the decorations and balloons before the guests arrived. Deana and her staff were friendly and attentive the entire time during the party. The food was delicious and plentiful for the party size. I would highly recommend having a party here. It was such a great evening and everyone enjoyed themselves.

So this is a hard review- if it were just for the food it would be five stars hands down. Their wings are honestly the best I've ever had - the hype is REAL. Where I'm torn is the issues with parking, wifi (to get an Uber), and takeout. If you dine in know it's super loud, and to try to takeout you can try to call to place the order (when the line isn't busy and assuming they can hear you). If you place in-person know there's going to be a wait, but I promise it's worth it. Price wise, for two orders of boneless wings and a large sweet potato fry it was about $55 including tip I believe. While not cheap, you easily get 2-3 meals from each order, so a good investment especially given the quality. Definitely going into the takeout rotation and will be my go-to whenever I want wings.

ive never been here but im pretty sure there is a goonies type situtation going on in the basement that leads to secret caves and eventually a pirate ship filled with gold that gets released into the LI sound. then maybe my family will take me back

I went there this evening. Was seated in the back room with a meetup group, but went to the front room to order as is their policy. I ordered a beer and a sandwich, and the server printed out my credit card slip. She asked me if I wanted to cash out or keep my tab open. I opted to keep it open. I asked her for a glass to go with the can of beer she served me and she pointed out to me that I didn't use the word "please" in my request. I responded in surprise, "did you actually just correct me for not saying please to you" expecting an apology for her obvious rudeness. Instead she responded "Yes I am. If you want something from me you need to have manners and say please." I responded that it is worse manners to correct a customer for forgetting to use the word please. She then told me she was closing out my tab as a consequence to my rudeness. I attempted to get the manager's attention who only ignored me. I then tore up my receipt without signing it stating I did not touch the beer and to cancel the sandwich. Her response to this was, "What the f%^k is wrong with you?!" I responded that what's wrong with me is that I don't like being treated rudely. I then left the restaurant but was charged for the beer and the drink just the same. I called and spoke to the manager and asked her to remove the charge. She said she would. I said I also want a return call from the owner for how rudely I was treated by her worker. She responded that I was also rude back to her worker and she began screaming at me. I stated I was not rude, said good-bye and hung up. I will follow up with the owner. Hopefully he will behave like a mensch rather than like his horrific staff.
