We haven't stopped here for awhile, but we gave it a try the other day. Good food and service in a cute setting.

Such a cute little dinner run by what seems to be a family. We were a large group and they were able to accommodate us. The food was delicious!! Must try the everything burrito, the bacon thingy (yes that’s the name). Lastly, service was great!

The service was awful. The waitress was not very attentive and didnt know what came with specials. Was supposed to have hot coffee and tea with our meals and I was given iced tea and both of us had to reiterate that we wanted hot coffee and tea when it says it comes with the meal. Had sunny side up eggs that weren't cooked and the food had no flavor. The bread and sausage were great but that was about it. Took forever to get the bill and had to go up to the front to pay cause our waitress didn't come back.

We stopped for breakfast, the diner wasn’t busy. We sat down and about five minutes later an irritated woman set our table and gave us menus, she didn’t take our drink order. We waited for about 10 minutes without anyone paying us any attention. Another couple arrived and sat for about 10 like we had and finally they were able to order drinks, we have now waited twenty minutes without a bit of attention paid to us. The atmosphere was horrible, the prices were a bit too expensive for a two egg omelette, I mean who has two egg omelets? We finally just got up and walked out while the waitress watched us leave… Finally someone noticed us . PS. I wouldn’t even have cared except we had about a three hour drive ahead of us and that was just time wasted.

This is a locals' favorite, kind of place.
We are visiting the 1000 Islands area for its stunningly beautiful waters, islands, rocky landscapes, and lush pines. The Flying Spatula was, to us, a restaurant in the middle of nowhere and yet still in a perfect spot... so we dropped in.
It's a quaint little place with a country kitchen feel. They do accept credit cards, and the coffee is good. Those were my two standards.
Then we met the owner, who also is the cook. She was a delight. In addition to managing the restaurants back of the house, she was helping a brand new waitress, day 3 on the job, on how to interact with patrons. I admired her positive attitude in coaching this kid, who needs a little guidance.
The new waitress, a young girl, and despite being a lot skittish and definitely still learning, she was actually fast on her feet... zooming around the restaurant. Once she develops her people skills and gets used to carrying hot plates, I think she's gonna be great.
Order the Western Omelet and definitely get the rye toast. it's the best.
Thanks for a great experience this morning. See you next trip.

Food was good, service wasn't bad but waitress had an attitude. Acted like she really didn't want to be there and like you were bothering her when you asked for something, but she did bring it. They were understaffed that day which might explain it. I would give them another shot if in the area.

The food was good my potatoes were a little burnt but still tasted good. But the employee and nothing but a bad attitude on her and was not talking to people poorly. But if you don't mind bad service the food was great

I didn't get the chance to eat here because when I pulled into the parking lot a lady came out to stare at me. I asked her if she was with the resturant and if they were open and she was very disrespectful and said that if they aren't then they're wasting their time and I need to read the open sign. That was just my polite way of asking why the hell they were staring at me lol. Went somewhere else 👍

Don’t go here! Staff was beyond rude. Wanted to close early so we were made to feel uncomfortable and spoke poorly of our party within hearing. Flies on all the tables and kitchen seemed badly maintained. STAY AWAY!!!!
