I appreciate family-run businesses and wanted to give this place a try, but unfortunately I cannot give it more than 1 star. As soon as we walked in, there was a long line of people waiting, which gave me hope that this place was good. When I looked around I noticed that half the tables were open. After waiting for exactly an hour to be seated, it took us another 30 minutes to get our order taken. After another 20 minutes the drinks came. The two lattes I ordered were tasty but cold. I also got an iced latte and a strawberry banana smoothie. The iced latte was extremely sweet to the point if was inedible, although the smoothie was delicious. After waiting for another 25 minutes, we got our food, which was French toast, a bagel with cream cheese, an egg and cheese burrito, blueberry pancakes with fruits, and scrambled eggs with a side of toast. Food came out looking very unappetizing and bland. No garnish on the plate whatsoever except for powdered sugar on the French toast. The French toast was four very small pieces of bread. Tasted mid and was not filling at all. The bagel came out on a different colored plate and was very average. The egg and cheese burrito was alright, but the tortilla was not fully cooked and the eggs were mid. The blueberry pancakes were decent and had some flavoring, but there were very few fruits on it. The scrambled eggs with toast looked very unappetizing and cold. After we finished the food, we got the check for $73. We paid and as we were leaving caught a glimpse of the menu. I did the math and they overcharged us about $10. We were only supposed to pay $63. Safe to say I am never coming back.

Amazing! We were seated immediately, was a little loud but got used to it. The wait for food was a bit long but that was a good sign because the food was DELICIOUS! Best pancakes I’ve ever eaten at a restaurant, good eggs, good toast and bacon. Would recommend

If I could give zero stars I totally would. Went for breakfast paid 90 dollars for not good food ….Order 1 scrambled egg and got charged 7.95 the “hash browns” were old half cut up French fries mixed with peppers and onions… service was rude .. would not recommend to me it’s a live and learn situation

Food was terrible, hash browns were absolutely disgusting, wouldn't feed the food to my dog and on top of that was way over priced. The owner/manager was very rude and someone needs to tell him not to skip leg day..

Went on a little double date here before mini golfing. Walked in, and were seated promptly on a nice Sunday around 11am. That should have been warning sign number one. We were led into a small, tacky, sky blue “dining room”. There was no music or background noise to cancel out any noise. All (3) of the tables could hear each other’s conversations. When I asked the man at the front if they were doing lunch/deli items, he informed me they were not in the most rude way possible.I ordered a breakfast combo, which came with eggs, bacon, and pancakes. I ordered my eggs sunny side up - they were cooked over easy. My pancakes were delicious. My boyfriend ordered Belgian waffles, which he loved and a side of bacon. Advertised as 3 pieces of bacon on the menu - only 2 pieces came out. For $4.My friends boyfriend ordered a breakfast burrito which he liked. My friend ordered a side of bacon (see issue above) and home fries. The home fries were forgotten, but boy - when they came out I could see why. They were cut in half French fries that were soggy and brown from what looked like days old oil. There was also gross pieces of peppers in them. When I asked to speak to who was in charge of the kitchen, the same rude man from the beginning of the review (who I can only assume was the owner) all he had to say was “that’s how they make the home fries”.And we paid close to $70.Disgusting food, terrible service. Beware.

The cofee was okay, but the French toast was terrible. Wouldn't recommend this place for breakfast. Service was fast, an upside.

The good part was how fast the food came. The bad was the food. My partner and I were greeted promptly and were seated quickly and we pretty much had to order sides to get what we wanted to eat for breakfast. I ordered eggs over easy, sausage, what they had listed as hashbrowns and toast. My partner ordered Hashbrowns, sausage and toast. A side of sausage was one way over cooked patty that I wouldn't have fed my dog if I had a dog, the hashbrowns were rubbery chunks of under seasoned potatoes covered in more peppers and onions than potato. My over easy eggs were so hard and rubbery and over cooked, who messes up eggs? And it was over $30 dollars without the tip. Very disappointed.

Their coffee puts Starbucks and Dunkin to SHAME. Dunkin already sucks but Starbucks is my usual go to. This place makes the BEST coffee. Iced lattes to be exact, for me. Not to mention how nice the owner is.. everytime I’ve walked in here, he greets us with a smile and makes us feel welcome.Their prices are extremely reasonable, especially for being on the main strip of a tourist area. The French toast is homemade and the food is delicious. Thank you cafe 185! I wish I had one of your locations in my hometown!!

We walked in and waited to be seated. My daughter said maybe we should leave, since it was crowded and nobody came over to let us know how long it would be. The kid behind the counter said “we’re short staffed. Maybe you should leave.” Will never go back. Pretty sad that’s how they speak to their customers.

More toast than eggs. They don't give tap water to customers, have to pay for your water. No towels in bathroom. Staff nice. Food tastes pretty good.

If you are looking for fancy, this isn’t the place but we had a very good breakfast with a great cup of coffee. I had the pancakes and they made them exactly the way I like them, almost like crepes. My companion had a breakfast sandwich, which she really liked. This is a family run business and they work very hard to make your breakfast enjoyable at a good price point. If there was 3.5 stars, that is what I would give them.

A real oasis if quality and value! Especially for breakfast, Lake George can be a difficult place to find a good meal at a reasonable price. Everything on the other tables looked quite tempting, even the coffee. The food and service were great, couldn't be happier with the experience! I'll definitely be going back.

We came because the reviews said it was good. Our experience made sure we wouldn’t be returning. The menus are confusing and don’t tell you the options that they have. I had the eggs Benedict and the hollandaise sauce was spicy and the wrong texture that caused an upset stomach, I couldn’t finish my food. My partner ordered pancakes with added chocolate chips for almost 2 dollars and they weren’t even included in the pancakes, just a few sprinkled on top. We ordered a side of home fries (which weren’t on the menu) and they came with onions and peppers that were not asked for. The drinks were good but that was the only pleasant part. The total was over 50 dollars for just us two going out for breakfast.
