We went for fixed price $35 during Lake George Restaurant week on September 14th. This included a 3 course meal. Our salads were good and plentiful. The mussel appetizer was excellent. Fish and Chips entree was very good. Shrimp Scampi was very mild and needed more sauce and garlic. The pasta it was served on was overdone but the scrimp were very good. My strip steak was okay but it looked anemic, as if it was steamed instead of grilled. The baked potato could have been cooked more. We all enjoyed our dessert of either Lemon Merangue Pie or Apple Pie.
Waitress was very friendly and attentive. We didn't know it was a BYOB, otherwise it was a very nice place to have dinner. We could have walked next-door to get a bottle of liquor, but decided not to. Presentation of food was just average but it was tasty. We would go back :)

We were very disappointed with this restaurant. Two of us ordered shrimp fajitas ( a special that night) that were unrecognizable. We had to take them apart to see that there were even shrimp in the taco shells. The shrimp was covered in something that tasted like meat sauce and the onions and peppers had been stewed in a tomato sauce. The sour cream and cheese listed on the menu did not arrive. The waitress did bring sour cream when asked, but the meal was terrible. I would avoid this restaurant.
Dinner was excellent, service was great! Went here for breakfast next day which was also awesome!
The only thing I can say is that I hope the chef called in sick and the dishwasher was doing his/her best to fill in. The food was so bad that I thought cameras were going to pop out and tell us we were punked! As we looked around at other tables they were equally as puzzled and sometimes laughing at what they were served. Just one example was the steak sandwich special - it was an entire steak put inside a hamburger bun! I just wish I had a picture because it would have taken 3 buns to cover the steak! The bill was over $130 and that's with no appetizers or alcoholic drinks - 4 meals and 4 sodas. I don't ever write restaurant reviews but this was so over the top bad - I had no choice. The staff was nice though and I feel really bad leaving this review - but I just couldn't believe it.
Food and service where both very good. Still waiting on its liquor license so we brought in our own.
Coke was overall good. Small menu and no liquor license as of yet. Also the menu on their website is a little outdated. Food was good overall and location is great. Servers were very nice and attentive. Only complaint is we were there near closing and they were definitely rushing the cleaning of tables to close up. Overall I would recommend.
We enjoyed our first meal so much, we came back a second time on our vacation. It's not inexpensive, but the Salmon in a Honey Dijon sauce was just delicious and perfectly cooked! Also the Cavatelli in a Vodka Sauce was also spectacular. What was very special about this restaurant was that they were able to accommodate my daughter's multiple dietary restrictions with a customized fabulous meal. The service was personal and attentive especially for the kids. Skip the restaurants on the water where the food is mediocre and have a great meal here!

Very cute little spot. They currently are not selling beer/wine but you can bring your own. My husband and I had the specials (a mahi dish and a summer tortellini dish) and they both were a bit on the bitter side. There is no changing table in the bathroom. However the service was fantastic and they took extreme care of my children's food allergies.
6 people on a busy Friday night. 30 minute wait but can walk around waterfront or downtown while waiting. Good food, good drinks, great service. We had a great view of the boats. Very noisy place.
Unfortunately, we went for the pecan salmon and the Mac and cheese. When we got there, they said their menu had just changed, they didn't have them, and there was nothing else that appealed. We left without eating. The staff was nice, but “didn't know anything about open table” or the menu, and said they just got a new chef so have a new menu as of Tuesday. So if you are concerned about food choices or have a favourite on the menu, you may want to call to double check. The staff was nice, but I use open table to avoid that
Lake house bistro is top notch! Reasonable prices, attentive staff and delicious food!! We enjoyed ourselves so much we ate there twice for dinner during our 1 week vacation in Lake George.
The restaurant ambiance was nice. Didn't realize they didn't have a liquor license so couldn't serve alcohol. We felt a bit smothered by the staff because we were one of the only parties there. Our waitress and the host kept coming to the table and asking the same questions. Food was ok, they were out of some items we asked for. We overheard the host telling the server that she asked us about dessert too quickly. Just a strange experience overall.
