Ate here (Cabana Bar) while staying at The Georgian. Of all the restaurants we went to in Lake George, this one had the best food.

FOOD WAS AMAZING. Only good thing :/ that’s the 2nd star - for the chef. Can’t recommend eating here. First, they advertise happy hour 4-6 and have additional signage for the restaurant. We got there at 4:30 and it was all locked. We eventually found another entrance and at least 7 employees who just ignored us. Eventually, someone who I think was a manager told us he just needed servers and we could be seated. Our drinks were prepared outside and a kid had to bring them in the pouring rain inside. This happened with several drink orders for customers… but some drinks were made at the inside bar. When he brought us our drinks that got rained in, the other servers laughed at him. They also made jokes about inappropriate things. At least 7 employees just sat there on their phones… picking at their noses and faces waiting for something to do.I feel bad because the chef killed it! Service was wicked awkward. Also, a woman went up to the bar and asked for something, when she walked away, the two female employees and the bartender rolled their eyes dramatically.None of them want to be there. Don’t recommend

Either they can’t hear or they don’t care. Night #1: ordered room service; Beef ribs, mashed potatoes and mixed veggies. Received pork ribs and sweet potato fries.?Day #2: went to breakfast and ordered scrambled eggs, got fried eggs and “purple potatoes”? ?. Maybe it’s a Upstate New York thing?.Food wasn’t horrible, but sheesh! Think twice before eating here.

Giovanna's offers scrumptious dinners with hearty portions. There is a nice view of Lake George in the distance (beyond the pool and patios). There are several steps to get down to the restaurant and there is no elevator, so it may be difficult for those with mobility challenges. The staff is very attentive and appreciative of their customers. I had the salmon, which was tender, flaky, and a huge portion. It's a nice place for a quiet, relaxing dinner.

We happened to be staying at the Georgian Lakeside Resort where this restaurant is located. The hotel was dumpy and that should have been enough of a clue to steer clear of Giovanna’s, but it was our first morning and we didn’t feel like searching for a breakfast place. We should have. It’s enough to say that it’s just awful. And on one of the following mornings we witnessed a truck dropping off boxes of food supplies in front of the restaurant, leaving them on display in the parking lot , such as liquified egg product and other boxes of artificial food. There’s no excuse for not knowing how to cook breakfast, the simplest meal of the day.

Went for the buffet breakfast. Web page states that bacon, omelets, and homemade pastries are available, yet these items were not on the buffet table. Items that needed to be replenished, like fresh fruit and yogurt, were not (despite the buffet being open for another hour). A few slices of bread and stale, inedible bagels were on the buffet table, along with scrambled eggs, breakfast potatoes, sausage links, and mini pancakes (these were the only hot items). Pitiful selection and quality for $12.99 per person. DO NOT ruin the start of your day by going here! So many other great breakfast places in Lake George Village.

The best food and service I have ever experienced in lake George

We arrived at the The Georgian Resort, a family group of only 18, looking for a restaurant to accommodate us on short notice. When we asked the front desk for a recommendation, we were asked to wait for a moment. When the front desk attendant returned, he informed us that although the Giovanna's Restaurant on premises was usually closed on Monday nights, the chef was preparing for the week and agreed to cook dinner for us, if we wanted! We happily agreed. They offered a pretty extensive selection off the regular menu and all of our group from the age of 8 to 93 had no problem choosing their dinner. Under the circumstances, the service was great, the food, delicious (my tenderloin was as good as I've had) and the price reasonable. Jen, our waitress, was very helpful and sweet and made us feel welcome. Shawn, the owner/manager tried hard to make our evening worry-free and special. Since we had gathered in Lake George to celebrate our parent's 60th wedding anniversary, they even included a little surprise for them at the end. What a treat! They truly went above and beyond what one would expect! Thank you, Shawn & Jen, for a wonderful evening!

Couldn't be more disappointed. What happened???? The buffet was pathetic, cold eggs, terrible home fries that were definitely frozen, same with the pancakes. The fruit was soggy and old. The only good thing was the bread from Lake George Bakery... other than that, don't waste your money!
