Shepards at Erlowest

My husband and I always come to Shepard's for our anniversary dinner, and we always enjoy it. The menu is incredible and the food is unmatched in the Lake George area. I highly recommend Shepard's!

Chef Scott is amazing. His food is delicious and his presentation is absolutely beautiful! Having traveled all over the world and just getting home from Europe...this restaurant is on top of my list ..
you MUST go to!!! The scallops are out of this world! And the risotto is the best I have ever had.....We can't stop talking about it. Our server Alexis was awesome. So kind...so professional. What a beautiful smile. So unique in today's world.

We are from California and I checked online for reviews for this restaurant before traveling to Lake George. We were not disappointed. Natalie the bartender was excellent as was our server Alexandra. The ambience is traditional and very nice. The food was beyond excellent. If I had this restaurant where I live I would be there all the time. Excellent chef

My wife and I returned here for dinner. Married at the venue in '17, 1st-anniversary dinner, and now 7th-anniversary dinner. We had a wonderful meal - one of the best in recent memory.

I had the pleasure of having dinner at The Erolwest last night & the overall experience was absolutely wonderful. The staff was very professional & pleasant to talk to. Above all, The food was delicious & the presentation was beautifully done. I had the salmon & my friend had the beef tips & both were delicious. It's a beautiful Hotel/Resturant & if you haven't been there, you need to put it on your bucket list. We will be back!

This was a perfect ending for a wonderful dinner on our last night staying in the Lake George area for our end-of-summer vacation. The food was great and the atmosphere perfect. We had a terrific time and look forward to returning here again.

Wonderful food and thoughtful service. Staff was gracious to swap out a carb for a veggie for dietary reasons. Although we had dinner once, we also enjoyed 4 breakfasts but could not leave reviews. The morning meals were prepared well and plated beautifully, with fresh fruit. Complementary pastries were a nice touch and the coffee was spectacular.

We had a wonderful Anniversary dinner at this romantic destination restaurant. Overlooking Lake George, the staff accomodated us with a few last minute changes, one a move from the dining room to the terrace where a few tour boats pass by and a lovely fireplace sits. Our waitress was attentive and it was obvious she was trained well. The meals were presented so beautifully, every detail not missed. The pictures online do not do this place justice. It is not at all dated decor from what we saw, rather tasteful and well kept. We will return to this dreamy place again.

We originally were coming for dinner on Friday night but got caught in a terrible storm on the way up. We called and asked if we could change the reservation and they couldn't have been more accommodating—next morning the sun came out and we were seated on their beautiful outdoor patio overlooking Lake George and a most delicious breakfast and and exceptional service. It was a great way to begin our vacation— looking forward to our next visit!

Ambience was outstanding-richly decorated rooms. My girlfriend had the salmon and I had the pork chop. We shared an appetizer of mushroom risotto. The presentation was excellent as was the meal. A little pricy for us but well worth the experience.

lovely evening. food, staff, ambience were all well above average. unfortunately we couldn't take advantage of eating outside because the views are exceptional. great mushroom risotto.

This was our second lovely dining experience here. The setting is gorgeous, the service superb and the food beautifully prepared and served. The sauces were very well done, complementing the dishes just right.

Shepard's at Erlowest was such an amazing place! The building itself was awesome and the place had such great ambiance. It being right by Lake George it also provided a beautiful view of the lake. Both the service and the food were excellent. We would highly recommend going!

First class experience all around. The lake views (sit outside if you can), majestic setting, accommodating service and especially the food. Mushroom risotto appetizer was one of the most stand-out dishes I have had in a long time. Prices are what you would expect for such an experience but the portions are ample and filling. Highly recommend.
