I dont post bad reviews unless its totally unacceptable. This place was a bust.

2 people for breakfast. No beverages $60 with tip. Charged $30 instead of $18.50 for colossal breakfast bc we ordered home fries. Cold. Returned. Plus an additional $3.50 we have no idea. But we got tired of waiting to ask. So we left. Nothing was exceptional with the exception of the rye toast.

There’s a place a block or so across the street, around the corner that people were waiting to be seated. I’ll try that the next time in the area.

Prices are high. $18 for French toast is high. Small 4 inch pancakes tasted old. Cinnamon butter tasted old like it was left uncovered in refrigerator since last weekend. Boyfriend ordered the colossal which is just a normal 2 eggs, 2 bacon and 2 pancakes. Nothing special. No special colossal size, in fact quite the opposite. Portions are small. A side of bacon is 2 tough old pieces. Ordered 1 blueberry pancake which had about 4 blueberries in it. Coffee was good. Atmosphere is nice but door was propped open so it was cold. Nice fire place but no fire. Has to be better places in the area! Last resort breakfast here,

Honestly my family and I were so excited to try here after a friend of ours who frequents Lake George recommended it, only to be met with disappointment. Not sure what’s up the older lady hostess, but she was beyond rude. We said we had 5 adults and 2 kids, (specified because we didn’t know if they had kid menus or not) and she started off saying something snarky like “ok so you need two tables” like ok girl idk how you seat here so if we need two that’s fine. Asked for my name and told us to wait outside. Ok cool. Came out and said follow me and literally rushed back into the restaurant we weren’t even following her yet. Ok no biggie really! Maybe she’s just busy and quick with it! Get to our table where she seated us and she counted 1-5 at a round table and then 6-7 at a table behind us. We realized we could all fit at the round table so we all sat down and didn’t utilize the other table. Idk why that was a problem for her, but every time she walked near our table she made a snarky comment. Most of us work in the service industry so we’re more than understanding of getting busy or overwhelmed w rushes, but this was unreal. At the end we wanted to confront her behavior and she hid like a coward outside. Girl don’t be nasty to people if you don’t want to be told about it. You are literally in the CUSTOMER SERVICE/ HOSPITALITY industry! If you hate your job, quit! Life’s too short to stick around somewhere and be miserable. And if you’re having a bad day, that’s ok too! But as an adult don’t take that out on other people.

Anyways the server was attentive and sweet, asked who wanted coffee right away. Came back plenty of times for coffee refills even with all the other tables she was waiting on. She was even talking to our lil baby with us. Food was decent for the price and inside has a nice country charm. Definitely give the place a try if you want, we hope you’re met with more kindness than we were!

The Tamarack Inn has a great atmosphere, featuring 70s-80s music, vintage decor, and an absolutely charming and attentive staff. Our breakfast was amazing—we tried the special Apple Cinnamon pancakes and the Colossal breakfast. Both were full of flavor and tasted fantastic!
If you’re looking for great food, excellent service, and a cozy, classic setting, the Tamarack Inn is definitely worth a visit. Highly recommend it!

Food was absolutely disgusting. Dried sausage, potatoes refried 12 times, my fiancé's eggs were fully uncooked, completely liquid whites. We asked to have them exchanged and the waitress had the NERVE to argue that over easy meant uncooked white. Terrible service, disgusting food, absolutely avoid this place.

We’ve been going here for years. This year prices have gone up and portions have gone down unfortunately. This year I got the eggs, hash, and homefries. The hash is canned and I got small portions of both the hash and homefries. For $18, I would have expected a bit bigger portions. Not crazy big, just a bit more than I was served.

Service is usually decent. You won’t get a remarkable meal here but it’s decent and consistent overall.

The atmosphere is fun with all the Adirondack decor and fee story of Flapjack Pete on the menu is an entertaining read.

Food was decent, threw me with plastic silverware that showed up AFTER the food was delivered. And had to ask for them. Also asked if cornbread was homemade or canned, was told homemade andvwalla it was canned ,portion was very small and not cooked right(mushy). Would eat here again but I won't seek it out.

Overpriced and not worth it. The waitress could've been alot nicer. Didn't even come back to our table after our food was served except to give us the bill. Not many options in the menu. There was also stuff floating in one of our drinks ave we were still charged for it.

This place is amazing great atmosphere our waitress was the sweetest. All the food is organic & farm to table & it taste amazing the owner drives up an hour every day to get the fresh ingredients for there recipes. I had the flapjack Pete's colossal breakfast & my husband had the breakfast bagel sandwich. I definitely recommend if you're in lake george area to definitely go there for breakfast.

If you're into cozy, old-school diners with hearty homemade meals, this place is definitely worth a visit. Their breakfasts are the real deal! Everything tastes freshly made and the portions are more than generous (come hungry!) I had the waffles with fresh strawberries and they were perfectly golden with just the right crisp, topped with juicy, sweet strawberries that actually tasted like fruit, not the usual bland stuff you sometimes get.

Had an amazing breakfast experience!

I started with the steak special, and it was absolutely delicious. I also had a waffle topped with fresh blueberries and strawberries (wish I had taken a photo—it looked as good as it tasted!).

The service was exceptional. Our waitress was friendly, attentive, and even shared that the restaurant uses fresh, local farm products, which made the meal feel even more special.

I'll definitely be coming back with my family and friends. Highly recommend!

I had a great breakfast at this restaurant! The pancakes were fluffy and delicious, just the right amount of sweetness. The scrambled eggs were perfectly cooked — soft and creamy, just the way I like them. The portions were generous, and everything was fresh and flavorful. It’s a perfect spot to start your day. Highly recommend for a tasty and satisfying breakfast!
