My friend and I had dinner here while staying at the Holiday Inn. The server (later found out he was the manager) mocked me twice for my gluten allergy. First he told me to “get out” when I told him I had an allergy and second he came running up behind me and pointed across our table saying “watch out, there goes a dinner roll”. I told him that his behavior ruined our dinner, and he did take care of the check for us. Needless to say I would never go back. As two females, I have to wonder if he would have mocked me if our boyfriends had been present. My guess is that he would not.

Too expensive, two extra eggs and the bill came out to $50 plus tip for breakfast. Ridiculous.

I ate here several times during my 4-night stay at the Holiday Inn. Unfortunately, it got a little worse each time. My first breakfast buffet experience was relatively good. For a breakfast buffet, the food was good; good coffee as well. And my first dinner there was also delicious; one of the best chicken parm dinners I’ve had. And Taylor, my server was outstanding. However, the next morning, the older lady working the breakfast buffet was rude and confrontational, embarrassing me in front of the whole restaurant. I had waited for quite a while for a table - like their sign asked me too - but no one came to the host station. There were others waiting as well so I peaked into the restaurant and saw a server just fiddling with the place settings at an empty table so I walked in and tried to get her attention that people were waiting to be seated. Before she had a chance to respond, the older lady came from the back and confrontationally asked “May I help you!?” I responded by saying I was just trying to get a table for breakfast. Her response was “There’s a sign saying wait to be seated!” I said “I know. I’ve been waiting, but no one was coming.” Mind you, this is in front of the whole restaurant; in front of patrons sitting eating their breakfast. It’s like I was being scolded in front of the whole “class” for not waiting in line. I’m a grown man, 54 years old and a 70 year-old woman was scolding me out loud in front of total strangers. If I wasn’t so hungry, I would’ve just walked out and not come back. That time, the food was a bit tired. The French toast was hard and chewy. The bacon was like jerky, and the sausage was flat, lukewarm, dull gray discs. The eggs were okay though. I didn’t go back for breakfast after that. I did wander back there for a late lunch one day, hoping that server wasn’t there. I ended up eating lunch in their lounge, listening to some loud know-it-all trying to impress his friends with his regional knowledge. He spoke about 20 decibels louder than normal speech and everyone in the bar could hear his inane blathering. So, not the restaurant’s fault necessarily but an annoyance nonetheless. The burger I got was okay - not bad, but not really good either. It was sustenance. All in all, meh ?

Unless you’re a guest of the hotel and your breakfast is included in your room rate, I’d avoid this place. They’re clearly woefully understaffed. We were told our table was ready but still had a soiled dish on it. The food was mediocre at best, your typical hotel buffet. We were there at 9 am and many of the offerings were empty. Very disappointing

On our recent trip to Lake George we stopped by for dinner and it was so good we went back twice for late lunches. The dinner was in the restaurant & the lunch was on the bar side.

The full rack of ribs was very good and the lobster roll was outstanding. We had 2 different cheesecakes for dessert and they also were very good. All the food was fresh & tasty. Our server was Taylor who is very knowledgeable about the menu as well as being extremely personable. Definitely the best server for the entire week of eating out. She deserves a raise.

We went back for the lobster rolls 2 times for late lunches. All 3 times were exactly the same - fresh and loaded with chilled lobster. The cheesecake and peanut butter pie were perfect.

As to the atmosphere - clean, nice furniture, cool AC, even the restrooms are spotless.

5 star all around.

TR’s does a nice job. Stopped by for breakfast during my stay. Good selections on the breakfast buffet. Enjoyed the omelet station too.

Would have returned for lunch, but they just changed their menu. Wanted to get the Cobb/chef salad, but they changed to a chopped salad that wasn’t good. I could have done better in my own for way cheaper. $17 salads with iceberg lettuce isn’t my thing.

Chose this restaurant because of the on-line menu. When we got here the prices, at least for what I wanted, were 25% more. What I got was OK but not what I wanted. Brought the price difference to the attention of the waitress and the GM who both just basically said, yes we know. Sorry about that.
