My new favorite restaurant!! I will be driving back again form Jersey just to visit this place! IGNORE any bad reviews. The cheese was the best cheese I've had in my life! My bf hates goat cheese and he enjoyed every single one, as did I! Not to mention the grapes and blueberries were SO sweet. There's usually atleast one cheese I don't like, but the cheeseboard was quite literally perfect. Get the Honey Short Rib, amazing short rib and mashed potatoes with sweet parsnips. AND it's a beautiful log cabin. Even the bathrooms are nice and clean! Wine was delicious! Truly a must visit! The Showstopper is the way to go!

This place is a homey log cabin in the woods with a large stone fireplace. We had a brunch with an abundance of selections from there menu and there specialty cheeses. Very friendly staff that made you feel at home. I won't miss this place again the next time we go to the lake.

It is a gem in lake George. They have their own cheese and other products like jams. They are very famous for the kumik cheese that is superb! I got an onion soup and it was delicious and the bread inside very crispy. Finally the quality-price is perfect. The service is great and all people are super nice. If you go to lake George you cannot miss this place!

Oh my sweet Jesus....this place has the most delicious cheese! Mary, who greeted us when we entered the store, was so informative, friendly and helpful. We had only intended to shopat the store, but Mary raved about the food in the tavern. And with good reason! Everything was so ridiculously delicious. The poutine was very good, but the baked cheese in puff pastry was mind blowing!! We enjoyed some delicious hard cider ( we had awestruck apples and pears) Katie was our server and she was amazing. The rustic log building is beautiful and you can even watch them make cheese. They do a brunch on Sundays which sounds phenomenal. Can't wait to go back!

One of the absolute best cheese boards I have ever had. Every cheese was unique, creamy and completely delightful. Staff was super friendly and attentive. Would definitely come again.

What a fun place! We loved the cheese board, the gift shop, and stopped by the next day for lunch. Everything was delicious. Chicken pot pie and cheaper pie served in crock, smaller portion, but delicious nonetheless. Service was great too; our bartender and server (same both visits) was excited, passionate, knowledgeable, and we felt like he LOVED his job and the place. Good deal!
we went to this restaurant after meeting the owner at her farm and animal sanctuary. Honestly the best cheese in the world! We make the cheese stop our must do and every time we have eaten here, the service is amazing, food is superb, and well, the cheese!! oh the cheese! You must go if you're in lake Luzerne! You just have to!

Came here the last 40 minutes they were open on a Tuesday. I thought there would be animals here but j thought wrong. It was a place where they sold cheese and had a restaurant ( which wasn't open during the time ) but it was a fun small store to walk through. They had a pet corner where they sold food , and the rest of the area was for human consumption. Sadly I couldn't buy any cheese since I had no refrigeration.

WOW! Finally a great business has gone into the fabulous old log building which was the Hitching Post. Go in there just to see the huge logs that hold up the walls and the heavy duty wooden bar top in the Tavern. The food is great too! We (four of us) tried the mixed charcuterie cheese board and had a few glasses of wine. All of the cheeses, crackers and dips were yummy. Once we polished it off we barely had room for dinner. I've added some pictures of the cheese board. So GOOD!

Awesome find while we were in the area. Great poutines. They have a cheese shop and the cheese plates looked awesome. The next table got a high spread for a group of 4 and looked amazing. I got the grill cheese made with #26 cheese, their proprietary cheddar. Awesome! Grill cheese has to have tomato soup. Let me tell you it was the best freshest tomato soup I have had for a long time. Highly recommended . Also great service.
