Food was fair. Service was the best the waitress could do . They were short handed. Had broiled Cajun fish.. dried out, potatoes were hard in potato salad, Cole slaw had no flavor, macaroni salad was good. French onion soup was good.

Four of us stopped in last night for wings. One of us ordered the wing flavor of the month I believe it was chipotle maple. Everybody at the table agreed they were the best wings we’ve ever had five stars to the chef.

We (my gf & I) come here very often, at least once a week & often bring our kids along too. The food is always amazing/ damn near perfect & so is the service. We often compliment our waiter or waitress & tell them how awesome their service is, you can ask them. Stephanie is awesome. If it’s slower, she’ll sit for a min & chat w/ us which we enjoy. Mandy is also awesome & one of our favorites! I personally like Colin best, very good server & always there to refill drinks & bring extra napkins, etc. He can take an order for a party of 5 without writing any of it down & not make a single mistake. On the other hand, Ellie is our least favorite & we dread getting her as our waitress. We’ve even brought company & without us saying a word they’ve commented on her poor service. She also never writes anything down & then makes several mistakes. I ordered 6 tacos w/ no sour cream & they came out w/ sour cream & I said I definitely didn’t order sour cream. No apology or anything just walked away w/ the food & later returned w/ 6 more w/ no sour cream. No, I’m sorry for the error/ delay or anything. Then the bill comes & the sour cream is on the bill for $4.50 which is 75¢/each. Not being a cheapskate but I’m not paying for something I didn’t get strictly out of principle. I questioned it & she was snippy & rude & says you’ll notice I took of the $4.50 at the bottom. I said no u took off 4.5% which is $1.20. She seemed even more annoyed & brought back the bill & it was finally correct. I’m definitely NOT that guy that likes to complain, bit#h & moan but not once was there any apology on any of the errors & she definitely lacks personality. Would it hurt to smile & be nice? I eat out often & again I love your food, several of your staff & love supporting a local family owned business that gives back to the community but I dread going there when I get her as my waitress cuz I don’t wanna be rude & refuse her but I’m very tempted to do so.

Made reservations for Brick Oven 99 (always a staple, great food) canceled reservation since friends wanted to go to Skoobs. So we met friends at Skoobs, 45 minute wait after we placed our order. Fish fry was more grease than actual fish. "Manager" asked how everything was...i gave my honest option. She proceeded to clear my table & slam the dirty dishes in a bin. I was asked if I told my server of my dislike for their greasy food...I said no, i'm telling you, Ms. Manager. They credited us 1 fish dinner out of 4.... Thanks for the $20 credit ..should've gone to Burger King. Skoobs...never again! Get your classes online for customer service because what you learned in the cracker jack box isn' t acceptable.
