Over ten years ago I had the best lamb burger I've ever had in my life @ Amy's take away. I'll always remember this restaurant and this chef fondly. Sorry for the delayed review but every time I have a sub par lamb burger I'm reminded of the best ever... hope I get lost in Lanesville again one day

We had gotten lost on a hike and Amy offered to help us in several different ways before we purchased some of her DELICIOUS soups! We loved Amy’s passion for farm to table food and loved all 3 soups we

I hired Amy to do catering for my rehearsal dinner and it was absolutely incredible!! She gave me choices for three different themes and helped walk me through her vision of each one.. we ended up choosing a Hawaiian theme and she cooked amazing Huli Huli Chicken, Kaula Pulled Pork (with Jackfruit for a vegan option). She was accommodating every step of the way, great with communication. She used local vegetables for a beautiful root vegetable salad.. literally could not have asked for better food. My event was a success thanks to her cooking. She was absolutely a gem to work with and I would highly recommend her for catering events.
Best hidden gem in the catskills
What a hidden gem. Finally got to eat outside in Amy's garden. Food was fabulous. Amy was our saviors through Covid with all her delicious soups and meals.

Amy was super friendly and the garden is a lovely setting. While we enjoyed the soups, and the welcome platter was fine, unfortunately all the mains were pretty disappointing, especially at that price point.
We had dinner in Amy & John's pretty backyard. Unfortunately I don't have the same praise for the food that other people do. The meal started nicely with one cold vegan soup, but the rest of the dishes were mediocre-to-poor, more like unsuccessful amateur cooking.
Delicious food with creative flavors. We especially loved the spanakopita and crab cake! The ginger cole slaw was yummy too and my husband said the lamb shank was tender and tasty.
Amy’s Take-Away is a small town delight! I am blessed to be a “neighbor” of Amy, and have had the pleasure of working for her too! Her food is delicious, creative, classic with a twist, flavorful and fresh! I could go on and on about Amy as a person as well as her food... but everyone should witness it for themselves.

Amy's cooking is wonderful! We came at 4 on Sunday so yes, she was low/out of some stuff as I would expect with her cooking schedule. But. She went above and beyond to give us everything she could and it was perfect! She combined the pierogies with the kielbasa soup and zero complaints! But please please give Amy a break and call beforehand. We felt awful rolling up and knocking on her door. She takes the coronavirus protocols seriously and you need to respect that. Cell service is spotty there, so we messed up. Go hike to the top of a mountain and call in your order with a time estimate. It's worth it.
Amy’s food was absolutely amazing! She was super attentive and accommodating for us as well. The food is made from all fresh ingredients and you can tell she takes care with everything she makes. An absolute must visit if you’re staying in the Catskills!
Exemplary food.
A month before we began the isolation in place, I had driven over to Amy’s (less than 5 miles away) to get some soup having tasted her Hopping John at New Years 2020! I bought 4 different kinds and are down to just one left in the freezer. It has been our replacement dining-out experience during quarantine! It’s like having a chef in our own kitchen
Soup Souper Soupest! Amy offers wonderful soups - healthy and tasty.
