Bread & Cocoa's owner, Laurie, has a smorgasbord of carb delights. And of course, there are lots of chocolate goodies at this bakery on Boston Post Rd in Larchmont, NY. Truth be told, if you live nearby or just happened to be in the area like I was, Bread & C. should be at the top of your list to visit. Not because the owner will gladly give you something on the house because you only carry your card and don't have enough cash on you to pay for your entire order. But because that's how she is. And, it happened to me. You can tell right of the bat, Laurie has a passion for offering pastries and pleasing their customers. Regardless, Bread & C. has probably gained a lot of attention for the Croissants, Macarons, Cookies, etc. I seriously think though it's because of her Parisian-inspired Hot Chocolate. You're in for a treat. If you know me on Yelp, then you know I haven't had coffee in like umpteen years and when I go for Hot Chocolate or Hot Cocoa, it better be orgasmic. This was it. Top-quality chocolate is used because after all, this is Larchmont. The end result was the perfect balance of rich flavors and silky texture. It's a treat that was both comforting and luxurious. It almost transported me right to a cozy Parisian café on a crisp winter's day. It's a small place but it's mighty and so worth the trip!

Bread & Cocoa is the kind of local bakery that epitomizes excellence and makes you feel right at home. With a friendly atmosphere, the owner will probably recognize your face over time and and greet you name. The excellence of Bread & Cocoa's pastries makes it easy to understand why the locals keep coming back.I stopped in because I was working in the neighborhood and I needed a pick-me-up for my ride back to Manhattan. The pumpkin chocolate chip cake with a small coffee hit the spot. It was an amazing start to the day and made me appreciate why this bakery is such a neighborhood treasure. Bread & Cocoa is truly a special bakery that's worth checking out!

Laurie is amazing! You can tell from just the dreamy smell of baked goods when you walk anywhere near her shop. I tried her lemon, thyme, olive oil cake the other day and it was absolutely to die for! Great coffee too :)

Glad my fiance and I stumbled into this place. It's in a cute little area in Larchmont, near a bunch of restaurants and boutiques. The owner is really sweet too. Just remember it's CASH or CHECK only!!!! We had to go to an ATM. There was one close by though. Now the sandwiches are amazing, so don't leave without one. I had the homemade multigrain scone with beets and goat cheese. Omg, drool. It's small though, so don't expect to get full. It's more of an experience. Then the other sandwich I loved was the fig and brie panini. Yum. My fiance loved them too. We also tried a Belgian waffle for $5 because they won awards for it. Light and flakey. Toppings are 25 cents, so we got pure maple syrup, but they also offer chocolate syrup and such. Their coffee is good too. I had the latte and my fiance had the mochaccino. Worth dropping in. Small place with some tables. Grab your food at the counter and forks, napkins, etc are by the wall.

Laurie is the best, truly! I couldn't eat anything due to sickness for 5 months, and her blueberry 'scuffins' (scone/muffin combo) saved me. She has got the best pains au chocolat in Larchmont and I don't say this lightly. I'm a huge fan and they're the perfect size, flavour, amount of chocolate, everything a true pain au chocolat should be. She catered birthday cupcakes made of chocolate ganache for my son's special day at my home for adults and children - they were so popular, people had 3-4 each and I literally could not control them! Ha. I love when people eat and are happy :). Thank you for such lovely pastries and keeping everyone with a sweet tooth so satisfied! Side note: Yes, she only accepts cash or cheque but most small businesses do. The fees are exorbitant for credit cards. If you go to any small business in Brooklyn, it's the same!
