Popeyes Louisiana Kitchen

Absolutely appalling experience at this Popeyes location (679 Rockaway Turnpike, Lawrence, NY). We arrived with my family—who were visiting from Germany—and were immediately met with disorganization and disrespect. Of the two self-order machines, one was completely out of service (red light, signed off), and the other—despite appearing to work—completely failed at processing card payments after we placed our entire order.

We spent nearly 5 minutes trying to figure it out, visibly struggling, and during that entire time not a single staff member stepped in to help. In fact, they stood by watching us, laughing quietly, retreating to the back, and one even stayed out front grinning at us in an extremely mocking, condescending way. It was clear they were talking about us, amused that we were tourists, rather than offering any assistance or basic human decency.

This wasn’t just bad service—it was openly hostile and humiliating. We left without saying a word, because frankly, we shouldn’t have to beg for the most basic level of customer support. We were there to eat, not to be laughed at.

Avoid this place at all costs. Popeyes management should be ashamed of how this store represents their brand. Absolutely disgraceful.

Only people eating there, were employees of the own store. No one else in sight.

Please visit this store it has the best food the people are so nice and they make the best food and the menu items are so good. You should really try them like, I tried frozen lemonade, one of the best drinks I had in my life the manager she was very nice to me and her behavior was so friendly.

The popeyes in Hempstead on Fulton 100 percent i go the 3 to 4 times a week at night food fresh always staff manager polite well trained

I find it rather crazy that a store in a good area where there competitors keep their doors open till 11:00pm or 12:00am this store decides to close their doors at 9:00pm. I hate the drive through because everything takes 2x longer and your food is often wrong or missing something. Besides that the food is like every other Popeyes and when their doors are open the service is average.

Very Unprofessional staff rude! No door signage on operation hours for indoors. Drive thru rep @22:13 hours 6/13 had an attitude because I said large combo after telling him which combo. Service is very lengthy for drive thru 5+ minutes for chicken is crazy. This location needs to go out of business. Or new staff. Place has missing door handles as well unsafe. Will be reporting to department of buildings for safety.

Came here for a beverage and watched someone return their chicken order because the employees got the order wrong and they put the customer order back in the basket to sell to other people. I asked if that was sanitary to put a food that left the store back into rotation. Knowing that the customer had to have touched the chicken as well. They told me to talk to the GM about it and dismissed me.

my food was fine, emphasis on just fine, because it didn’t taste fresh. more like it was at least a few hours old but understandable because it’s a rainy day and it was empty in there.
the service was OKAY; there were 2 people working on my order, a man and a woman. neither of which, since i walked in, had washed their hands or put on gloves before preparing anything. i work in food and i know if you don’t need to wear gloves for something, your hands need to be washed DIRECTLY before doing that task, as per ecosure standards. the woman grabbed two containers for my boneless wings and started flapping them around and patting them on her clothes, which is disgusting and also against ecosure standard, you wear those clothes to the bathroom. watch your cameras from 03/20/25 5:45pm to confirm.

to top it all off, i looked through the bag and then around the restaurant, and then asked if they had utensils like forks and napkins. the man told me they should already be in the bag, and i said “yeah i only see one fork, may i have more?”, which should have been common sense because i ordered 3 meals. the woman says “i put 2” with an attitude, as if she didn’t just make my order with 3 entrees 😐 i understand it’s just popeyes, but i spent $47 on 3 entrees from just popeyes, so there needs to be some just effort put into it. be clean and be presentable, that’s not too much to ask from anyone in food, lazy service workers ruin the industry.

also, save your energy and keep the fake “we appreciate your feedback and want you to have a pleasant experience” response in your inbox and just train the employees on good customer service.

I visit this store every single day because I love the apple pies ! Everyone there has an attitude every time I come there ! Including the manager . It’s a shame how they treat people that are spending their hard working money ! Everyone that gives their business the employees should be thankful ! They all have jobs . If you don’t love your job and you have to deal with customers than get a job where you don’t have to interact with the customers !

It was okay but a little cold. It used to be 5.89 for 5 pcs, and now it is 16.39, and they want to fill the cup with ice and then charge you 1.50 for a refill. It cost them about 12 cent to it. Say $6 for 3 gals, and you could get 48 eight ounce serving, so about 12 cents. I would not complained but really. Everyone gives refills for free. They are turning me off to popeyes!
