I hate to do this. The new owner is not Sean or his wife or daughter. No more muffins, they did not make any no nothing pie, the new cook is not even close to Sean's wife. My nephew went there for the no nothing pie ( he has ciliac) and they didn't make any, it was on the menu. They don't serve their muffins anymore. They had turkey last Sunday as their special. It used to be very special. It was terrible. Rolled turkey cut in thick slices. From some supplier. The dressing was literally pulled beef or some other slop I hope not from plate scrapings. The vegetable was canned corn. The potatoes were lumpy. The gravy tasted like they spilled a carton of salt in it. When Sean wife cooked they really roasted turkeys, the dressing was make from bread, muffins were offered, the gravy was tasty, yes Sean probably used canned corn. The serving staff are the same lovely ladies who worked for Sean. They are truly a wonderful crew. Anyway the place will not make it if the new owner doesn't find a decent cook and takes more interest in the ambiance that Sean and Nancy had created. I have been going there for years and last Sunday probably will be the last. I hope Sean enjoys his new career.
My wife and I went on 12-14-24 for dinner. I could not tell you what was better, the food, the service or just the relaxing atmosphere. A truly great experience. We have eaten here on several occasions. Each time we have ordered something different and each time we have equally been pleased with our dining experience. What a great team of employees. We are looking forward to going again. Thank you all very much.

My better half and I consistently have tasty and enjoyable meals at the D & R Depot Restaurant -- it is one of our go-to places for special occasions and celebrations. Personal service and thoughtfully prepared meals combined with good value keep us coming back regularly -- thank you!

This is a friendly restaurant with good food, decent beer, and an upside down train on the ceiling. The prices are reasonable for the area and the loaded Bloody Mary is excellent. If you come at the right time you can even watch actual trains go by for some excitement for the kiddos.

We love dining here as the service , food, atmosphere and hospitality are always fantastic. I enjoyed my turkey dinner with all the trimmings and my wife enjoyed her seafood pot pie which much to our delight was filled with lots of delicious scallops, shrimp, fish and other delicious goodies . Happy holidays everyday of the year .
Parking: We found the parking ample and easy to access the entrance .

This has been my favorite restaurant since I was a kid. Great atmosphere and the food is always delicious. Sean and the staff are always wonderful. Highly recommend!
Been coming here for a while. I like change but disappointed in the new ownership. If you take over an restaurant, and keep the same menu, make sure you can keep the same quality. Part of my meal was cold, the beef was dry and not as tender as usual. It was a German meal and I can only assume the cook knew nothing about German food. We will miss going here but .........

Very nice place and staff. The food tasted alright and the 4 of us all had different dishes. 3 out of 4 of us got sick later that evening. We don't like to give bad reviews, but we prefer to be honest.

Wonderful little gem in the village of Leroy. Love their chicken pot pie! Save room for their house made deserts too!
I have celiacs, many gluten free options, even had a delicious muffin for the bread with my meal and apple pie for dessert, which I had to take home being too full for anything else.
