Tasty food. I was picking up takeout, really good guac, and shrimp fajitas - doesn't look as though they're really geared up to folks dining in.I found it a little weird to serve fajitas with rice and beans, and not tortillas.
The fried pinwheels (don't know what they are actually called) are the BEST THINGS ON THE PLANET. Seriously, though, the food was outstanding and very flavorful. Portions are generous. Definitely will go back next time I'm in NY.
I have now been to A la Mexicana 3x. I thoroughly enjoy going there and the food is fantastic and authentic. Best jalapeño tamales I every had. Next time I am coming in for chilaquiles.
