Maybe they were having an off day? Or I ordered the wrong thing? Asked for a latte and didn't notice until the last minute that they were using a small automatic coffee maker. It was a coffee with steamed milk on top and it was so bitter I couldn't drink it. Muffin was okay wasn't great. I will say the owners were very very nice and we had a really good conversation so that made it worth it (except I still needed a latte ha ha)

Places like this make it worth leaving the house and it's desserts like theirs that make you appreciate your taste buds....

I stopped in to get six bagels for breakfast and was told that I could not buy six bagels because they wanted to save them to make breakfast sandwiches. They recommended that I go to Monticello Bagel Bakery and their bagels were delicious. I highly recommend driving past Floyd and Bobo to get your bagels in Monticello.

We stopped here to pick up some pastries for brunch. We are so glad we did. The baked goods were excellent, the place has character in spades, the coffee was really good, and the owners super friendly. This is the kind of bakery most towns wish they had.

Stopped in as it’s seemingly the last cafe on the way to the Slide Wilderness from that direction. Hard to pass judgement on the sandwiches as we ate them many hours later on the trail, but the ricotta cheesecake and rainbow cookies are two Italian staples from my childhood and they did both very well. The cheesecake was lemony and somewhat custardy, with a bit of a creme brulee finish on the crust of it that added some nice caramelized flavors. The rainbow cookies were just right, properly dense (a lot of places make them as flour cakes instead of incorporating marzipan as you're supposed to) and with good jam and a good hard chocolate shell. It's hard to find foods you've loved since childhood that are as good as you remember them to be. Folks were friendly too and the prices totally reasonable. Didn't try the coffee. Excited to go back next time I'm in the area and keep working my way through the dessert case.

Ellen & Louie are the sweetest!!! Delicious coffee, and Ellen makes the best lemon bars I’ve ever tasted! I wish I could have them delivered to Brooklyn ?

Went for a quick breakfast and picked up some baked goods on the way out - all delicious!

Limited selection, overpriced, milk curdle in coffee and undercooked baked good. Quality has dwindled over the years as with most local shops.

Cute cozy shop. I had a delicious latte. The beans used were not over roasted like Starbucks. The owners were there. Very nice people.

30 seconds into walking through the door one of the workers noted that one of the people in our group brought it their own drink in a mug and that that wasn't allowed, but that they would let it slide. We had missed the small sign out front that that was the policy so the person apologized to the man. The worker then proceeded to continually talk about how rude it was and said things like "you wouldn't bring your own steak into a steakhouse" and "people out there are assholes, in here we think. Think about it". We said nothing. he then stormed off and came back and said "be sure to leave your address when you leave your review so I know where to find you". We said nothing. We could then continue to hear him yelling and cursing in the back. The policy is understandable and we were happy to abide by it and were sorry we made the initial mistake, the way it was handled was awful. Crazy seeing all of amazing reviews of this place, and then having this experience within a minute of walking through the door. Really a shame.
