Service was ok. Wings were good. But for the main meal, The new chef doesn’t really like making repeat customers happy in any delight. Wanted to substitute bucatini pasta for pappardelle pasta and it was a flat no. We are talking about the only two pastas they typically serve. Such a turn off for a place you frequently eat at. Like really?!

First of all we were shocked that piccolo paise closed. We have gone there for 30 years. Today we found out that piccolo paise had moved to a place called Otto’s. We went to check it out. Sad to say that it was no where near the original piccolo paise. Food was ok. But the noise level was insane. And they don’t serve bread before you order. I had nothing to push my pasta onto my fork with. Then I ordered an espresso and the waitress was surprised that I asked for sugar and spoon. SAAAD. But Julia the waitress really tried to accommodate us.

Went to Otto's for the happy hour oysters and cocktails. Oysters were perfect with mignonette sauce. Also had the calamari that was lightly breaded and delicious. Sat at the bar, which has a nice view of the gold course. Great service. In checking out what other patrons were eating, everything looked tasty. I was told there was a new chef, and it is clearly a very positive change. Looking forward to our next visit!
Beautifully redone inside. Bright & inviting. Had the hot honey peach margarita, which was delicious. Menu had loads of options, but kept it simple when ordering for our first time there - Favorites were the wings & classic mussels ✨
Nothing to talk about at all with the way the prices are and how bad the food was except for the chicken parm which you do not even get bread with your dinner .There was an excuse for everything do not see myself going back again . And there is a misconception on the web page of what they actually serve their under the old previous owners menu when you look two different web pages for the same place
Foods very good and nice service
Nice looking place inside. Not impressed with much else. Very pricey for so, so quality food. Service ok at best. Waitress was also the bartender, so it was hard for her to be good at both jobs. Got my money this time, doubt it will happen again.
Love the new location. The space is gorgeous. The food was excellent and the service was great.

Nice new location at the golf course. We came here for our 25th Anniversary. The Rez asked if it was an occasion and I said as such. Requested seat with a view. Went to be seated almost sat us in the side entrance table. I asked for the window and he sat us there with no problem. I am convinced restaurants dont read requests on reservations. I thought maybe they would bring a dessert out for my wife or for us to share for our Anniversary, but nothing was mentioned...oh well.
Started with figs wrapped in prosciutto and stuffed with marscapone and a raspberry sauce, nice app and cooked nicely. For dinner I ordered the bone in veal chop with asparagus and broiled potato. It was tasty and tender. Waiter asked what temperature I want the chop. I told him 145-150 degrees. He smirked and said medium? Who asks what temperature you want your meat cooked? I cook so I know the temp.
Maybe next time ask how you like it cooked? He seemed annoyed and my wife did not mention this until we returned home. I just think he isn't set out for this type of job. I didn't realize how annoyed this made my wife (still left 20% tip, all on my wife I would have left 15% and I rarely do that).
The Martini was very good. I am giving 3 stars due to this waiter. Food was a solid 4.5. Probably won't go out of the way to return here.

We were 7 for dinner on a Saturday night.
We were warmly received at the door and immediately seated at our table which we did reserve.
The service, food and decor were on point! The restrooms were spotless and well appointed.
I own two Italian restaurants in NJ and can only offer one suggestion that would have made our dining experience amazing vs very good. For the price of the menu entrees each main course should have included a side house salad or for a larger group as ours, a family style house salad on the table vs ala carte. Also, we initially received 2 baskets of bread when seated and yes, additional baskets were brought to the table when asked for, however, bread portions were very small.
All in all, we did enjoy our dining experience… and would consider dining at the new Piccolo Paese again in the future.
Regards, John

I recently had a meal at the new location and felt very disappointed upon leaving. We have been Piccolo patrons for about 10 years, and have stuck with their several changes of ownership and location. This recent meal was unidentifiable from the original restaurant. Waited 20 minutes for water, 30 minutes for wine, and an hour for dinner. The meals were void of flavor, and a far stretch from being Italian food. Since the restaurant group took ownership, the quality has diminished, and the prices have skyrocketed. $44 for a small piece of branzino with a sprig of parsley, sliver of onion, crumble of feta, and zero sauce. Side dish was one small potato cut in half and 4 cold and unseasoned green beans. That should feel unacceptable to anyone who orders it. I feel bummed out to write a negative review, but I found no positive qualities to report on this last visit. And this will be our last visit unfortunately.

I almost hesitate to write this review because the more people discover this gem the harder it’ll be to get a reservation. We’ve been coming here since before Covid and this restaurant seems to have gone unscathed. In fact, they took the opportunity to move to a space that’s as beautiful as their food is delicious. The food here is on par with some of the best fine dining establishments in NYC. The service is good. They don’t schedule reservations back to back like a restaurant recently did to us. If you have the opportunity to visit have the mushroom agnolotti. They are unreal!
Vegetarian options: Mushroom agnolotti are incomparable!!
