-Food was horrible-25$ + for one plate (Rasta pasta )-overpriced-30 min wait-don’t have many options-I took one bite and threw my food away-save your money! Go to Middletown for Jamaican food.-15$ + for drinks-pool table and friendly environment/good music

I have been in the hospitality industry for over a decade and this by far has to be one of the poorest experiences I’ve ever had. I really love supporting my people, but I am disappointed when that love is not reciprocated through stewardship and service.I dined in with my family about a month ago on a Friday evening and from the very start I knew this was a regrettable idea. Our waitress basically entered into the establishment at the same time as us. The “VIP” section where we sat was terrible, the table even rocked like a rocking chair. The waitress was very flustered when she came over to greet us and was not knowledgeable about the menu at all. I believe every other answer was I’ll check with the chef. Our order was messed up and a few items were missing. When we inquired they asked if we still wanted the item and they said it would be a 10 minute wait, we said okay. 10 minutes later we asked and they still didn’t fire our item. Smh we just said forget about it.The portions of the food were okay but the service was really terrible.Happy to offer my critiques to the owners directly!

I reccomend ordering in advance. They cook foods to order. We ordered when we arrived and waited for about 45 mins. (Mind you they were also preparing for a party, so that is another reason for the longer wait)We ordered the Oxtail with butter beans and the curry chicken. And the beef patty. Our bartender was friendly and advised us of all the special events that they host.Let me start by saying the beef patty was so flavorful and the flaky crust was so delicious. Will definitely order again. The oxtail was tender and fall off the bone. Flavor is more on the sweeter side. However there was alot more rice and gravy then there was oxtail. We didn't get a chance to try the curry chicken because when we opened the box it was another dish. I believe it was goat curry. My roommate loved it however it was more bones then meat and alot of rice and peas.Overall, we will be returning but we will definitely order in advance.

Newly moved and reopened business. I attended pool night which started at 9p. I figured I'd go try it out see who I know and meet those I don't. I waited till 945p playing 5 games by myself. There was no one that showed except people walking in to pick up their food order. I might try it again since it was their first week or so open. The only down side for those that are going to play pool, it's very dark with no pool table lights above. They really need to install pool lights since you can't tell the difference between the 2 ball, 4 ball, and 6 ball from the 8 ball!

I don’t like giving bad reviews unless it’s really necessary! I went to this place when it was in Liberty and had a horrible experience! They didn’t have cabbage, plantains, curry chicken or curry goat. It took the woman 20mins to even come from the back of the restaurant to take our order then another 10mins to come & tell us they didn’t have any of what we wanted because her husband (who’s the cook) wouldn’t be there for another two hours! Mind you it was 1pm. So because we were hungry and wanted Jamaican food we got the oxtail and j*** chicken which she said was the number ONE sellers, large oxtail came with THREE oxtail covered in fat and extremely chewy, j*** chicken was under cook and bland, rice was hard and paid almost $50 for two plates without cabbage or plantains. Decided to try again at the Monticello location hoping for a better experience and although they had what we wanted food was still not good and I’m pretty sure we got food poisoning because we were sick the entire next day! Won’t ever go back! But maybe we just keep catching them on bad days.

So let me start off by saying the young lady that worked the front was definitely friendly and had great customer service. As a Jamaican I enjoy supporting Caribbean own businesses however I am less than please with the quality of the food. Food was cold and did not live up to the expectations I had going in. I hope this issue is fixed will definitely try again in hope that these inconsistencies are fixed would love to see a Jamaican restaurant flourish in Sullivan county. Also as a side note loud music don’t not encourage a relaxing atmosphere.
