This is some of the best Thai food I’ve ever had. I lived in NYC for 15 years and basically only ate Thai food. This beats all of the places there! And, friends who come to visit agree.Dietary restrictions: My husband has terrible food allergies (including onions and garlic) and Sweet Basil is always accommodating. They cook everything fresh and you can tell.

My experience here was amazing as always, but I noticed on February 9 at 1 pm when a group of 18 came in and were taken care of very well as usual but after they were done, all they left behind was a ripped dollar as a tip. The audacity of these people to blatantly disrespect the staff like that after their hard work is beyond me. I felt bad for the staff who have to deal with these types of disrespectful people. All I ask is that everyone gives their staff the proper tip they deserve, thank you

I used to live in NYC for over 10 years and I’ve never had Thai food this great outside of Thailand. Mega tasty, authentic, and consistently delcious. The venue is also such a vibe, and the people are friendly, what more could you ask for. Get the Tom Kha coconut soup, the drunken noodles, the massaman curry, the mango sticky rice. A local GEM and favorite!

The place smelled bad. The water was disgusting. The Caucasian waiter was abusing the lady who was getting the food ready. We believe he smacked her. We heard her say. Don’t touch me. We’d been there about 10-15 minutes. He was screaming and swearing at her very loudly. Disrespecting her. The waiter has a fake tan, the only white person that works there. He had his shirt tucked in a his hair slicked back. We left without waiting for our food. We will be making a HUGE complaint and that waiter will be hearing from someone. I hope he gets fired and cannot find work again. Abuse is unacceptable. ANYWHERE !!!!

This place is a blessing, and it’s so random that it is in upstate NY, LIBERTY of all places. This woman is FROM Thailand, creating everything from scratch with her hands, including all the sauces and garnishes. She is a gift, and way too humble. If you like Thai food, this is real deal. You will not taste anything close to it for miles! Do yourself a favor: sit at one of her tables and get schooled in authentic Thai cooking.

There aren't many vegan options in Parksville, NY, but Sweet Basil is one! Tofu pad Thai, vegetable dumplings, and coconut milk ice cream are all highly recommended.Vegetarian options: While the vegan/vegetarian options are not directly called out on the menu, the staff is highly accommodating.

The food here is good, I genuinely really enjoy coming here for a treat for myself because even though it's a bit on the higher price side, I like it! Today however the amount I was charged was baffling. I got a Thai fried rice, a red curry (both with tofu) and a coffee. Right on the menu it says that both of the dishes are about $11 - so I'm looking to pay around $25 my head with tax and coffee which is fine. I look at my bank statements and it's $35.50? There are signs everywhere that say rice is extra. Okay maybe $2 extra for the rice with the curry that would still be about $27 but where did the extra $8 come from? If they're charging for the rice inside of the fried rice separate I'm very confused because the entire dish is rice so what is the $11 for?? And even if that's the case there's still a missing $6 out of nowhere. So assuming that they charged the rest of the amount for rice alone I'm paying $10 for maybe a cup of cooked rice for one dish and for the second, for rice that's the majority portion of the second meal..? Also the portion of the curry was very small so it doesn't even justify! I wish I had a photo but I'm writing this a few hours later as I've seen the charge come in and I'm really disappointed. It was in one of those silver aluminum 8 inch round take aways and the curry genuinely didn't even hit the 1/3 mark of filling the thing.

What a great find! We are from CA and stopped here though it looked like a take- out place, which it also does. There was plenty of seating. Excellent soup, main dishes and coconut ice cream for dessert! The owner does everything herself- while being very attentive to us and the toddlers in our group. (Provided crayons too!)
