I had a reading about 10 years ago and couldn't wait to return, only to be disappointed. Kinda meh really. Pricey to get in ($20 admission per person) on top of pricey readings ($250+). It seems all things spirituality related are only about money anymore, especially here you can really feel how this place has shifted. The day prior I went to Chautauqua Institution and would definitely recommend this over Lily Dale. While there, I saw Deepak Chopra FOR FREE.

Beautiful grounds and quint shops are a joy to walk. Wear good shoes, everything is within walking distance but is spread out.Church bells signal the start of next event. Our girls trip of 5 was ruined staying at the Southern Comfort Inn at Lily Dale. The owners followed us around, went in our rooms while we weren't there and gave multiple readings to people when we paid to rent the whole house and only had access to half of it. I would not recommend staying there.

Was excited to check this place out,so my husband and I went. People were rude and it seemed like they just wanted your money and did not want you there. We were literally yelled at three times for various stupid things, like walking the wrong direction, lolTerrible service at the restraunt,had to get up and find our waitress,and a girl was yelling at the table next to us. We didn't stay too long and ended laughing at the absurdity of a place that is supposed to be peaceful and ethereal. Complete oxymoron.They need to get it together, lol

I have not been to Lilydale since I moved out of Ohio in 2001. I was here the last time was 1998 or 1999. Finally, I planned a week to be here from 16 to 23 Aug. The hotel was $35. Now it is $65, which is too expensive for old, no AC. The private homes were $30 to $40 then. Now they ask too much.I am driving from Alexandria VA to Lilydale NY alone. I love Lilydale and it gives me self confidence. I need to be here than anyplace else.

We do an annual visit to Lily Dale. The experience is enjoyable and the ambiance is very nice. We have taken in an event in the Assembly and visited the Stump to listen to mediums pick out audience members and give them an impromptu messages from the beyond. Lily Dale is pleasing to the eye, flowers everywhere and a very clean well taken care of Community.
