Absolute gem on Northern.Amazing flavorful food that has a certain appeal to it. The food doesn't taste "assembly line factory produced" but very homemade and personal. We had the haloumi, greek salad, 3 of the spreads (hummus, tzasziki, and the eggplant), and branzino with gigante (lima beans)- All reasonably priced with generous portions, and most importantly fresh. We found parking on Northern but we did have to look for a few minutes. I'm glad we gave this spot a try today though. I've tried the big name Greek restaurants in Queens and Long Island, and there was just something unique about this restaurant. It felt as if we were tasting recipes that had been passed down from generation made with the freshest ingredients the chef could find, not just locally but internationally.Do yourself a favor and try this restaurant out!

Our food has no taste at all the grill rib eye shouldn't be call grill at all it was hardly grilled meat was white color with no grill color at all such a rip off plus it was way under season grill branzino was average at best had much better one for the same price and the lamb was chewy and over cook the chef at this place needs to be fired food was very bland at least our French fries had taste and was most season then you know something is wrong with this restaurant will never order again unless you like bland food

My favorite Greek place recently closed so I have been in search for a new one. Most important for me is a place that offers lamb chops, pastitsio and octopus. I heard good things about Greek Islands so I figured I would give it a try. I called to inquire about said items and spoke to George. He was friendly and welcoming, so I made a reservation. I thought parking might be a problem but around 5 PM on a Saturday night I found a spot on the side street. Toasted pita bread and chickpea salad were brought to the table which was a nice touch. We ordered octopus and a half order of the gigante beans as an appetizer. For mains, we ordered pastitsio, lamb chops, and branzino. All dishes were well seasoned and tasted great. The filet and 4 lamb chops were standard in size, but the pastitsio and side dishes of lemon potatoes, spinach and salad (with barely any cheese) were definitely on the smaller side. The sauce on the beans and tzatziki sauce were surprisingly very tasty. George even brought out a homemade sesame dessert on the house. All dishes could have been served hotter. They arrived warm at best. While George definitely made the dining experience pleasant, my issue would be that the prices were definitely a bit high for the portion size, especially given the lack of ambience and valet.

I have been to this restaurant several times and for the most part I was satisfied until now. The grilled octopus was very good as well as the zucchini balls, but the pasta with seafood was a total let down. The pasta was served in a white wine sauce, but it was very dry. The shrimp was over cooked and the small mussels and clans were tasteless. To finish up the dinner, I ordered a decaf cappuccino. What was served was a small cup of bland coffee with a very thin layer of foam on top.

Good food. Expensive. Better Greek food a short drive away in bayside, Flushing or Whitestone for the same price

The grilled red snapper was just out of this world. Fresh and expertly grilled! Staff is very friendly and the appetizers were delicious. Enjoyed the evening breeze in the well constructed patio.

My husband and I always enjoy our meals at Greek Islands. We love their cheese triangles wrapped in phyllo and honey. The Kota Mykonos is another favorite. The chicken breast was grilled perfectly and the stuffing was light, tasty and complemented the dish. The lemon oven potatoes were delicious. We loved our desserts. The baklava is made on the premises and you have to leave room for dessert. My husband loved the walnut cake. Can’t wait for our next visit.

Nice service, even late at night where we arrived. A quiet locale. We had some sausage and cheese among appetizers. And I had a ribeye steak with lemon potatoes. Great food

Everyone enjoyed their respective meals. The owners and staff were friendly and accommodating. After years of passing by it on the way to and from LI and joking that we would stop in, we finally stopped in for a belated Mother's Day dinner. We will be back.
