The owner of this place should be ashamed. Half of these negative reviews are because of ownership negligence. Our server was doing work she does not get paid to do. I advised her to call the labor board. The staffing issue is clear because of unethical working conditions. I’ve never sat in a restaurant that’s closed because of being short staffed. I’ll never be back.

We had an issue with a waitress. Grace & Savannah stepped up and made our experience great. Grace stepped in and was our waitress. She helped and got everything fixed from The previous waitress. Grace was a saint and will definitely go back because of her.

This was the best experience I could’ve have, had. The food was top tier and the service was amazing! The kitchen manager was (Aiden) was the sweetest person I’ve met to to date! 9/29/25 I went out to eat before my movie premiere and I had the best diner I’ve had in years! And I make food from scratch! Loved everyone there and kitchen manager needs a raise for all his hard work! Keep it up you guys you’re killing it!💯

Yesterday my wife and I experienced the most unpleasant dining experience we can remember at the Friendly's on Route 31 in Clay. We were seated right away, but watched orders being taken from customers who arrived well after we had. It was only after my wife summoned the staff that a waitress came to our table and excused her oversight by saying that no one had told her about us. My wife ordered New England fish and chips, and I tried to order the senior cheeseburger without cheese. The waitress argued with me about whether I could get a cheeseburger without cheese, but I thought we had come to an agreement. When the food finally came, the fish was browned almost to a burned state. My sandwich was sans cheese, though. My wife commented that her fish looked more like chicken and the waitress stated that the serving was the last that they had on hand. We had to ask for ketchup although I had watched our waitress check the bottles on empty tables except ours. While we waited for our food, the people at the next table called the waitress over to complain that the bill they were given was not for the food they had eaten. When our bill came, I noticed that I had been charged for the regular hamburger, not the senior portion. The bill came to about $37, comparable to a recent bill at a local steak house. We would have done better at the McDonalds next door. As we left, the waitress said something about things would be better next time. There ain't going to be a next time.
