What a shame about this diner. It was phenomenal when Al and Rosie owned it. Been going to this diner for years now and today (11/9/25) will be my last time. Service was awful, with exception to Sarah. Sat at counter the dishwasher not only put the bottle of dawn detergent right in front of me next to my coffee but put a wet dish cloth on counter on my phone. My server who wasn’t Sarah, but the server never offered menu and never even greeted us and was not the one that poured us the coffee. She walks up behind me and says very rudely. What would you like so we put our order in food came the Italian toast is pre-bought thinly sliced and you can tell because it’s evenly sliced as she put the plates down. She never once returned to ask how the food was and or filled up the coffees. Sarah was the one that filled up my coffee three times this lazy no good server did not do her job. The service there is awful. The food portions are awful. Even the food prep way it’s made is not like it used to be and that’s understandable with a new owner, but it’s gone downhill. The service has gone downhill. The food has gone downhill yeah might as well close the doors now what a shame cause that used to be an amazing Diner from the dishwasher, slamming the bottle of dawn detergent, putting the wet towel on my phone from the service absolutely unprofessional The server was. I will never go back there again.

Ate here 3 mornings in a row while visiting Syracuse. Typically like to try different diners, but why when i found a great one. Cant wait to come back to syracuse to eat here again. Breakfast your Grandma would approve of.

Cute little diner. Excellent food and outstanding attentive service. The decor is train based with a railroad theme throughout. The home fries were outstanding, nice and thick and crispy. The onions were also thick cut, just the way I like them. I enjoyed the Trackside Benny which I highly recommend. My wife had a corned beef hash omelette, it sure looked good. Great food at reasonable prices. I liked the way the menu was done. The categories were railroad based which matched the theme of the diner. If you want an extremely enjoyable experience go to Rosie's for breakfast or lunch.

Cozy and very inexpensive. We aren't locals but when my family were in town for retrocon, our service here was great. It felt like a family atmosphere even though nobody knew us but treated us like they've known us for years. Would eat here again!

Hands down the best diner in town! I can't say enough good things about Rosie’s Trackside. The food arrived quickly, piping hot, and exactly as we ordered it. The pancake was the size of the plate! My trackside benny was very flavorful and cooked perfectly. The service is outstanding. Everyone from the servers to the cook were very friendly and attentive. I love that they were always there to refill my coffee. This is a family owned business that truly cares about its customers. They are a must-try, you won’t be disappointed!
