We came in for the Sunday special and were lucky to have Sarah as our server. She was amazing. I have celiacs and she knew just what I could have and made sure my order was perfection. From the soup French Onion to my Turkey dinner! The food was amazing. I could not have the Sauerbraten but that is what my partner ordered. He thought the was amazing and was able to bring home a wonderful piece of raspberry pie. (which I could not eat.). But Sarah checked over all of the dessert options to try and find one for me. The food was amazing. Our service was stellar. And we told Sarah we would be back to see her again. Thank you so much for a lovely meal!

The food and the service were amazing, the chicken quesadilla was alright, not necessarily my thing but the fries were delicious. However the bathrooms scared me a bit. The space under the stalls was really large, and almost in line with the toilet itself. Will come back for the food, but beware the bathroomWheelchair accessibility: Tables were quite close together, might be hard to navigate but they did have ramps in and a decently sized handicapped bathroom stall

March 2024 had reservations at 6p for party of 4. Being a weekend and during lent as expected the place was packed. We were seated immediately upon arriving with advance reservations. After having some wine and our salads our meals arrived an hour and a half later. I didn’t mind as we had time to enjoy our conversations and weren’t being rushed. Two of us had ordered one of The Retreats special that night…coconut panko crusted grouper. Unfortunately they were barely lukewarm. Our waitress Tammy graciously offered to have two new dinners prepared but I suggested warming them up in the microwave. About 10 minutes later our meals arrived. The grouper was excellent ! Worth the wait. Tammy offered a free dessert for the inconvenience.I have been a loyal customer since the mid 70’s and have NEVER had a bad meal at The Retreat. Definitely my favorite restaurant in Liverpoool for both lunch and dinner.Parking: Huge parking lot with handicap spaces and plenty of street parking too.

4 of us had lunch there on a Thursday. We had reservations but still had to wait 20 minutes to get seated. The food & service were good plus the menu had a good selection. I would recommend this location for lunch.

Server Rob here adding my opinion. The Retreat is a beautiful and professional environment, perfect for singles or the whole family. Service is exceptional and punctual at every turn. I however was let go because they chose money over family. I personally want to thank all those whom of which I have served here and had the pleasure of interacting with (: sincere love and best wishes to the community.

Great food, and our waiter Rob was friendly and efficient! We saw another table complain where the customers were 100% in the wrong about something pointless. Rob was a rockstar in that he didn’t let the interaction get to him. Honestly Rob is the best server I’ve had at the retreat, and I can’t wait to go back and I’ll request him by name! :)

The Retreat is a local bar and restaurant that has been a fixture in Syracuse. My mother always gets the fish and chips, but there are many other worthy items on the menu. The sandwiches here are good and loaded. Very tasty and the fries are very crispy. Definitely a good place to grab a meal especially lunch. Good beer selection also. Always enjoy a stop at The Retreat.
