This place has a really good chef, diner was excellent and I highly recommend it if you come this way. I am usually very critical of American roadside restaurant bu this one is a gem, enjoy the salmon and the cobbler for desert, all cooked to perfection and generous. Staff is very nice in a country lodge atmosphere.

I made a reservation at 6:30 pm the previous evening. The proprietor's reservation company neglected to alert him that a reservation was made. So we arrive to find nobody there, and find his phone number on the lobby door. We proceed to call him, and he comes out in this weather (9°f), during an active snowstorm at 1:30 in the morning to give us a key to our room and welcome us. Clearly a staff that cares about their reputation and how people think about them. Deeply courteous and kind and understanding. The room I stayed in (double queen) was spacious enough with its own thermostat, sizable bathroom, and closet. The beds were comfortable and the sheets were clean. The common areas are well maintained and clean, even when not in use. Stay here.

Unbelievable food and service. Somebody's and I went up there this evening on our motorcycles and sat down and had the best meal we've had in quite some time. Good old-fashioned friendly hospitality, and the food was off the charts. Highly recommend this place.

This was our second time here within one week! I had the chicken strips last time and tonight - they are delicious! Last time my husband had swordfish which he states was great. Tonight we each had a bowl of soup, New England clam chowder with scallops and lobster bisque. We split the crispy chicken strips appetizer and the loaded potato skins. Finished dinner with the chocolate rum cake and a glass of Merlot! The service is excellent and the food is consistently great!
