We were given a gift certificate for Christmas which we attempted to use this week. For the past three days we attempted to call them to make a reservation with no one answering the phone, decided to try and stop in tonight to get a table for two, hostess in a very snotty way informed us that we needed reservations as they were booked, I told her we attempted to make reservations. My wife called 25 times last night, and a multitude of times today including calling right at 3pm when they opened, no one ever answered the phone. I could understand if they answered the phone and informed us that they were booked, but to require reservations and still not answer the phone or at least have a way to make reservations online is unreal in this day and age.

I placed a pick up order online for pick up at 5:15pm and didn’t get my food until 6:05pm. I understand restaurants getting behind that’s not why I’m leaving a negative review. I asked the hostess if there was a better way for me to place a pick up order since it had been a long wait and all she said was yeah we’re behind tonight while walking away from me with a tone in her voice annoyed that I even asked. I guess I’m used to just courtesy when an order is late with some apology like “I am so sorry about the wait” or something, but instead felt as though I was impeding on the staff’s night.

No point to the service, food and atmosphere being excellent when the customer service is NONEXISTENT when you try to call the place for a reservation. I’m done with this restaurant.

From the moment someone in our party walked in, the staff’s favorite word was no. We had reservations and when the person arrives, the hostess refused to seat them until the person whose name the reservation was under arrived. When finally seated, we asked for separate checks and were told they couldn’t do it unless we were all paying cash. When ordering, someone asked for a different type of pasta (orecchiette) which was served in other dishes and was told no. After dinners were brought out, someone asked for some more sauce and they were told the kitchen was too busy, so another no. When the bill came, we found out 2 people had been charged an up charge for angel hair pasta. This was not disclosed beforehand, when ordering the server said would you like rigatoni, linguine, or angel hair. They refused to take the up charge off the check. After paying the bill, they started cleaning off the table, including our glasses, so we got the message loud and clear that it was time to leave. Overall, the food was good but we will probably not go there again because the staff was just rude. There are plenty of good Italian restaurants that have better food and service in the area.

Extremely pricey! The waiter got snooty when I ordered coffee and got even snootier when my friend ordered a coke without ice. I had to wait while they brewed a pot of coffee and my friends coke arrived WITH ice. Several entrees were marked 'Seasonal Price' so you have no idea what they're going to charge. I would never have come if someone else wasn't paying. Waaaaaay out of my price range!!

Food was amazing. Had the mussels and hot damn, they were great. A little heat to the sauce but it doesn’t burn like other types of heat in food. Shrimp cocktail and the Caesar salad was fantastic too. Chicken parm also delicious.

Named Albanys best Italian Restaurant for over 10 years .
The food quality is unmatched by most other restaurants anywhere.
Attention to preparation detail is apparent. Good value! Good service!
You can tell they care about producing the best dishes they can
which a rarity today.

Unfortunately I can’t give a review based on food but felt obligated to share my experience. My husband and I called the restaurant a total of 6 times today during their lunch hours to try and make a last minute reservation for dinner. All 6 calls went unanswered and to voicemail so we rolled the dice. We walked in at 5:30 and found the bar area pretty empty, I’m talking 3 booths, 2 high tops and 5 bar chairs empty. I walked up to the hostess to see if there was availability for 2. I was not greeted with a hello or how are you, I was greeted with “yes, what can I do for you” while looking me up and down adjusting her glasses. I then asked for a table for two. “We are booked solid until 7:30, you should have called ahead.” I completely understand not being able to accommodate the need for a table but the customer service was not amazing & I hadn’t even sat down. With that being said I probably won’t attempt to go back and try the place out. Hopefully others have had a better experience.
