A great place for a fancy dinner with friends and family. They have great selection of wines and spirits that pair well with the pastas and other entrees. The wait for a table is short and the atmosphere feels like you’re in the middle of Tuscany. We got the French Onion Soup and Mozzarella Caruso for apps which were delicious. For entrees, we got Pesce Alfredo and Linguini Alle Vangole that hit the spot. Great service as well. Will come back again.

Delicious, great waitress, crowded and a little hard to hear due to the noise level. Will definitely return.

We have been to D’Raymonds a number of times before tonight and we have always had somewhat OK service but that’s easy to overcome when the food has always been amazing.
Tonight we had a reservation and were celebrating my wife’s birthday.
We unfortunately had a very poor overall experience tonight. The service started out OK, despite it being very busy.
There seemed to be an abundance of staff, but the service was painfully slow, except for drinks coming out fast, and no one was clearing dishes or empty glasses off the table.
When ordering our food one member of our party wanted to substitute vodka sauce for red sauce on the meal she was interested in, she was told that the chef would not allow any substitutions.
The majority of our food was delicious except for my wife’s meal which tasted like a salt lick, it was so salty that it was inedible, 2 other people in our party tasted it and said the same thing, she had one bite and had to send it back.
When she told the server, he never offered an apology, never offered to remake the dish, he didn’t ask if there was anything else he could get her and she had to ask/tell him to take the plate of food off the table.
After about 25-30 minutes he returned to check in, and finally asked if there was anything he could to do to make it right, and that he was going to “throw some desserts at us” , at this point we had already been seated close to an hour and a half, and were ready to go, and declined the desserts. Since a replacement meal was never offered, we asked to take my wife’s meal off of the bill.
We were all at our limit with sitting there and we were all ready to leave, half our party decided to wait in the car while we paid the bill.
The server came back and offered a few desserts again, this time we decided to take him up on the offer, if the desserts came
Quickly and if we could get them to go, we ordered 3 desserts for a party of 5. I also asked for our check.
While waiting an additional 30 minutes for the desserts and the check we asked 2 separate people to speak to a manager or supervisor. One young woman said yes there was a manager and she would have them come out. After that we never saw that young woman again, and no one ever come out to talk to us. When our server finally returned with 1 dessert and no check, he kindly explained that he had to call the owner because we wanted the 3 desserts and that if we wanted the other 2 he would have to charge us. We then asked for our check again and to please speak to the manager/supervisor and he told us that there was no manager, supervisor, team lead, etc that we could speak to. After another 15 minutes he finally brought our check.
We ended up being there for a total of 2.5 hours for what was supposed to be a nice evening out for a birthday. After this experience it’s very doubtful that we’ll ever return.

Pesce Alfredo at D Hammond’s
A masterclass in balance, this seafood Alfredo delivers indulgence without overkill. The mafaldine pasta—those elegant, ruffled ribbons—cradle a velvety cream sauce that’s both rich and restrained. Each bite is a gentle wave of comfort, kissed with briny sweetness from perfectly cooked shrimp, lobster, and scallops. The green onion garnish adds a pop of freshness, while cracked black pepper brings just enough edge to keep things interesting.
Visually, it’s a stunner: plated with intention, the seafood glistens like jewels in a sea of silk. It’s the kind of dish that makes you pause mid-bite just to appreciate the craftsmanship. Bonus points for the cozy bar backdrop—Tito’s signage and all—because nothing pairs with creamy seafood pasta like a well-earned cocktail and good company.

We chose this place for some reason, for our celebration dinner after eloping. We had reservations for 830 yet still had to wait!! Wish we went anywhere else. Meatballs were dry and crumbly, half the tiny portion of lasagna was black... It was overwhelmingly packed and loud. Overheard staff saying really horrible things on multiple occasions. Can't believe this place has such good ratings. Wouldn't ever go back.

Recent visit as couples was very disappointing. Even with a reservation the wait was extensive. Once seated our waiter was pleasant but very busy - rushed. Someone in our party asked for a pasta with their plain tomato sauce - light on the sauce. Waiter said that would be simple and if it came out without enough sauce he would bring a side. Perfect! But dish came out with so much sauce we could barely see the macaroni in it at all. When we asked if the kitchen could maybe just drain or rinse the pasta and put less sauce the dish went back but was returned the same way because the kitchen would not make the adjustment. Another diner in our group asked for vodka sauce on his side of pasta and we were told it would be an up charge of $9. That pasta side was (no kidding) served cool, not warm at all. We asked if the mussels in a mixed seafood dish could be replaced with a bit more of another fish already part of the dish. We were told the mussels could be left out but nothing would replace them - unfortunate at that price point. We know we made requests but they seemed simple and were told could be done. We just had a distinct feeling the establishment simply didn’t care if we had a good experience or not. We were told it caters to its “regulars” so perhaps that is true. Given so many other choices for dining we will select elsewhere else moving forward.
One of the best restaurants I've ever been to! The staff are very friendly, we received complimentary fried dough, and the food is the best in the area especially the specials which we tried multiple over a couple visits and they both went way beyond expectations. I'd like to mention specifically the sauces are incredible and unlike anything I've had at other restaurants. The wine menu is also excellent. If you like Italian food, pay D'Raymonds a visit, you won't be disappointed!

Long established Fine Italian restaurant located in Albany,NY. Professional wait staff. Extremely knowledgeable in all aspects of this 40 plus year old history of serving delicious meals to everyone who comes here.
Ann, part owner of D'Raymonds, greeted us upon arrival. From the past of smoked filled booths to current. She made you feel welcomed. From wine to dessert, you knew you would leave satisfied.
If you have never been here, what are you waiting for? I would strongly recommend reservations.
