Visited for first time last night and I had to come to the reviews and see if I was the only one experiencing poor customer service and a weird vibe from the”lady” upfront… well believe the negative reviews!!! As soon as stepped in, the woman was disappointed to see me I guess… and thru the whole interaction gave me a serious face and was not nice at all… almost as if I was inconveniencing her. The ice cream is not bad… but is not worth it to deal with discriminatory vibes just for”gelato”. What a shame… I even wanted to maybe shop for other items like the Italian cookies on the shelf that I adore, but rather go to the supermarket than keep giving business to people like this…it’s 2025 and you still with that racist vibe IN NEW YORK??? Do better…or not,I’m just never coming back and would tell everyone I know about my experience.

Seriously, the best Ferrero Rocher gelato I have ever tasted. I highly recommend visiting this café. It’s going to be my go to for gelatos. Plus, the customer service was very friendly.

I ordered a cappuccino at the Gran Café Gelateria and it was really really good. I paid $5 for a large . I did notice they also had Ferrero Rocher ice cream, which I asked the young ladies to try and it was absolutely amazing. I will definitely be returning to Lynbrook just to try for ice cream here! The service was also very friendly!

I visited Gran Caffe Gelateria with a few friends for a late-night dessert after dinner, and we were also looking for a good coffee spot. This place had great reviews, so we decided to check it out, especially since it stays open late.
The gelato selection was impressive, offering a variety of flavors at a great price point—definitely good value for the quality. The gelato itself was super creamy and delicious, better than many places I’ve tried before. I also appreciated that the portion sizes were generous.
As for the customer service, while the staff was polite, I felt the engagement could have been better. When asking about flavors and pricing, it was a bit of a one-sided conversation. Since it wasn’t too busy at the time, I would have preferred a little more interaction to make the experience feel more welcoming.
The coffee and espresso were also fantastic, with a surprisingly good value for the price. My friends and I were impressed with the flavor and quality.
One thing to keep in mind is parking—since it’s a corner shop, parking was limited, and we had to park about half a block away. If you're planning a visit, just be prepared for that.
Overall, this is a great spot for late-night gelato or coffee. The selection is not overwhelming, but what they do have is top-notch. Whether you're going solo, with friends, or even with kids, this is a solid choice for a sweet treat. I'll definitely consider coming back!

The old lady in the front was so rude. I’ve have never encountered more disgusting service. What’s wrong with you lady? Take it easy, you still have a few more years to live!
The only reason I said “old” was to differentiate from the other young women that I have seen there. So you don’t blame the other girls who are very nice and polite. She needs to take it easy so she can enjoy her life that’s what I said. That’s just nothing comparing to her being racist.
